Problem Statement

Context :

We have a Retail transaction dateset of 30000 Rows 13 Columns, using this data we
understand customer behavior and find insights on it to increase the sales and profit of the
store.

Task:

1. Data Profiling: There is no any data quality issues like duplicates, missing values, and
inconsistencies.

 No any Duplicats

 No any null values

2. Data Standardization:

 Data is already Standardized


3. Data Cleansing: This task answered in 1. Point

4. Data Enrichment: Explore the transaction data to identify purchase patterns and derive
additional customer [Link] task answered in Problem & Solutions section.

Problem & Solutions:

1. Which is the most selling product ?


Solution :Here we have listed the top 20 best selling products we have listed here,
Toothpaste is the top selling product 121 times

2. Which goods should be more stocked in the shop ?


Solution:As given above, we should fill the store more with the things that are sold the
most.

3. Hope are there any items which are not in the shop and keeping them can sell them well ?
Solution:The most selling product in the shop is toothpaste but there is no toothbrush in
the shop. If we put the toothbrush in the shop, people can buy the brush along
with the toothpaste. This should be applied to other products.
4. In which season the workers in the shop should be increased and when to decrease.?
Solution:The highest selling and turnover is in the season of summer, in summer there is a
sale of as much as 397308.81 which is more than the rest of the season, so workers
should be kept more in summer and in winter, the lowest sale is 386918.98, so
workers should be kept less at that time.

5. How to increase the number of those who come to the shop less ?
Solution:As per the chart given below, those who are professionals visit the shop the least,
their percentage of visiting the shop is 12.1% which is the lowest compared to the
rest. Most of the professional people buy by looking at cleanliness and branded
goods, but how can you bring these 2 things into your shop? This should be tried
so that the number of visits of Professionals to the shop increases.
6. How to increase the number of those who come to the shop more by retaining them ?
Solution:The highest number of shoppers in the store are students who are around 13.0%.
In order for these students to grow and sustain, we should sell things that the
students need in the store. For example, notebooks, pens, pencils and books.

7. In which season the shop should be filled with more goods. ?


Solution:Stores have more sales during summer, so the store should be stocked more
during this season

Solution:If the customer comes to the store, he should not have any problem in making the
payment, so keeping all the payment devices uptodate especially the swipe
machine because the most payment in the store is made by debit card, the average
is 25.4%.

3. Loss may occur
