The cell morphology is well preserved for 24hrs. However after 24-48 hrs a progressive increase in MCV and HCT is observed leading to
Decrease in MCHC. A direct smear is recommended for an accurate differential count and for examination for RBC morphology.

REMARK: agglutination titre of 1:80 and more are significant and rise in the titres of repetition test after few days, which confirms
the diagnosis of enteric fever. A small percentage of patients with non typhoid febrile illness may show high titres. Raised titres
are also seem in previous salmonella infection vaccination with tab vaccine chronic liver disease Rheumatoid arthritis, Multiple myeloma,
Nephritic, Syndrome and Ulcerative.
