Writing
Imagine what the Tyrannosaurus Rex would have thought about what was going on
in the museum as he stood there watching everything.
• What did he notice?
• What did he think about the different voices?
• Was there a bone missing in his skeleton?
• What sort of personality would the T-Rex have had?
Plan three or four paragraphs telling the events at the museum from the
T-Rex’s perspective.

• Write in first-person narrative.

• Use a mixture of standard English and colloquial expression to sound authentic.
• Use dialogue if appropriate, similar to Voice 1.
• Use a combination of short and long sentences for effect.
• Use text effects if it adds to the characterisation.

Write out your paragraphs.

• Pay special attention to your spelling, punctuation and grammar
(where standard English is required).
• Choose descriptive words and verbs to create impact and figurative/
colloquial language.
• Check your writing for flow and sense.
