JV of Studio Ing, SMEC India receives LoA for design works for RCC dam for Dibang Multi Purpose Project
The Joint Venture of Studio Ing. G. Pietrangeli SRL and SMEC India Private Limited received Letter of Acceptance (LoA) worth Rs 1,441
million for design and engineering through international consultant (RCC dam), construction planning and construction monitoring for the
Dibang Multi Purpose Project on June 30, 2023. Bids for the same were invited by NHPC in December 2022.
The scope of work involves- design and engineering, construction planning and monitoring for execution of civil works package Lot-3 (RCC
dam and appurtenant structures, U/S pre-coffer dam, U/S RCC coffer dam, plunge pool, D/S RCC toe dam, D/S coffer dam and closure of
diversion tunnels) including specification stage work (design and engineering, technical specifications, bill of quantities and drawings,
construction equipment planning, construction planning, and inputs for bid preparation and technical evaluation), model studies and construction
stage work (design and engineering, drawings, manuals, report, construction planning and monitoring).
The project involves development of 12 units of 240 MW each on river Dibang, in Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh at an
investment of Rs 280.8 billion. It also involves construction of 278 m high concrete gravity dam (above deepest foundation level), six horseshoe-
shaped head race tunnels of length varying from 300 m to 600 m with 9 m diameter, an underground power house and six horseshoe-shaped tail
race tunnels of length varying from 320 m to 470 m with 9m diameter.
Genus Power Infrastructures Limited received a Letter of Award (LoA) worth Rs 22.07 billion for providing advance metering infrastructure
(AMI) services on July 3, 2023.
The scope of work includes - AMI system with supply, installation and commissioning of 2.769 million smart prepaid meters, feeder meter, DT
meter level energy accounting and field management services (FMS) of these smart meters.
The scope of work involves- Reactor Package RT-22 for supply, erection, testing and commissioning of (i) 1X63MVAR , 400kV, 3-Ph Bus Line
Reactor along with associated NGR & 120kV Surge arresters (as applicable) at Maithon-A end under Eastern region Expansion Scheme-XXXI

Sudhakara Infratech emerges as L1 bidder for canal distribution system under Subernarekha Multipurpose Project in Jharkhand
Sudhakara Infratech Private Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for construction of minors, sub minors and water courses of OL-61
(Kalapathar minor) and OR-62 (Dumaria minor) ex. 123.08 km of Chandil left main canal (CLMC) through piped irrigation network under
gravity under the Subernarekha Multipurpose Project. The company has quoted an amount worth Rs 292.57 million. Bids for the same were
invited by the Water Resources Department, Jharkhand in March 2023.
The project is being implemented jointly by the governments of Odisha, Jharkhand and West Bengal. It will irrigate about 331,846 hectares (ha)
of land at an estimated cost of Rs 149.49 billion.
M/s Vinit Gupta emerges as L1 bidder for construction of dam under Kabulpur Medium Irrigation Project
M/s Vinita Gupta has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for construction of gravity dam under the Kabulpur (Kamardipur) Medium Irrigation
Project. The company has quoted an amount worth Rs 597.5 million. Bids for the same were invited by the Water Resources Department,
Madhya Pradesh in April 2023.
The project envisages construction of a composite single or multiple gravity dam on Kalisindh river at Kabulpur village in Shajapur district of
Madhya Pradesh to impound minimum gross capacity of 13.64 million cubic meters (MCM), live capacity of 13.63 MCM and dead storage
capacity of 0.01 MCM of water for providing irrigation facility to an area of 4,090 hectares (ha) of land (3,100 ha by pipe irrigation and 990 ha
by private lifting).
M/s Neeraj Bharat Vankundre receives work order for consultancy works under Dara Medium Irrigation Project in Maharashtra
M/s Neeraj Bharat Vankundre has received work order for a contract worth Rs 1.23 million for preparation of detailed construction plan for pipe
distribution network (PDN) system including necessary command survey, linear survey pipe laying, chak planning, designing of pipe network,
preparation of estimate under the Dara Medium Irrigation Project. Bids for the same were invited by Tapi Irrigation Development Corporation
(TIDC) in May 2023.
The Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Limited (CNNL) is planning to take up modernisation works of the 46-km long Visvesvaraya canal in the state of
Karnataka.
The project involves cross drainage (CD) works, construction of bridges and cattle ramps along the channel, lining on both sides of the bed and
construction of distributary head regulators. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 3,300 million.
MINING
Bid due date extended for continuous miner package for Vijay West UG Coal Mine Project
South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has extended the bid due date for one set of low height continuous miner (LHCM) package on hiring
basis for winning coal without blasting from Seam III and Seam II (top) for the Vijay West Underground (UG) Coal Mine Project from July 3,
2023 to July 13, 2023. Bids for the same were invited in May 2023.
The work is expected to be completed in 2,920 days at an estimated cost of Rs 4,277.45 million.
SECL is implementing Vijay West UG Coal Mine Project at Chirimiri area in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh.
Six firms submit bids for tankage works for Lepetkata Petrochemical Complex Expansion Project
A total of six firms have submitted bids for supply of tanks and associated tankage works for Naphtha and hydrogenated pyrolysis gasoline
(HPG)- 2 units for the Lepetkata Petrochemical Complex Expansion Project. These include Cross Country Contractors Private Limited; NRP
Projects Private Limited; Thermosystems Private Limited; Sharp Tanks and Structurals Private Limited; United Systems and Projects India
Private Limited and Expo Gas Containers Limited. Bids for the same were invited by Engineers India Limited (EIL) in March 2023.
The scope of work includes supply, design, engineering, fabrication, erection, commissioning of storage tanks and associated works including
civil, structural, instrumentation, piping works.
Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL), a subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited, Oil India Limited (OIL), Numaligarh Refinery
Limited (NRL) and Government of Assam (GoA), has proposed to implement new units at the Lepetkata petrochemical complex in the state of
Assam.
RfQ bids re-invited for development of multipurpose cargo berth off Tuna Tekra at Kandla
Deendayal Port Trust (DPT) re-invited Request for Qualification (RfQ) for development of the Multipurpose Cargo Berth off Tuna Tekra on
June 26, 2023. The last date for submission of bids is August 18, 2023. Bids for the same were earlier invited in July 2022.
The scope of work will broadly include construction, designing, engineering, financing, procurement, implementation, commissioning,
operation, management and maintenance of the project on build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis under public-private partnership (PPP) mode
for a concession period of 30 years. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 17,192.2 million.
The project involves development of multipurpose cargo (other than container or liquid) berth off Tuna Tekra outside Kandla Creek at Kandla in
the state of Gujarat.
The Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) is planning to develop Inland Waterways on eight rivers for goods and public transport. The Yamuna,
Gomti, Assi, Ghagra, Rapti Betwa, Chambal and Varuna rivers will be used for the same.
The project aims to improve connectivity and transportation of goods, especially bulk cargo such as foodgrains and fertilisers.
RfP bids invited for appointment of safety consultant for Vakalapudi Light House-Annavaram highway project
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) invited Request for Proposal (RfP) bids for appointment of safety consultant for Vakalapudi
Light House-Annavaram Four Lane Highway Project (NH-16, NH-516F) (Port Connectivity) on June 27, 2023. The last date for bid submission
is July 26, 2023.
The project involves construction of 40.62 km long four lane highway connecting Vakalapudi Light House to Annavaram (on NH-16) through
Uppada beach from 0 km to 40.62 km on the National Highway (NH)-516F in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is being implemented on Hybrid
Annuity Mode (HAM) under Phase I of Bharatmala Pariyojana. It aims to connect proposed greenfield port near Perumallapuram and Kakinada
Port.
RAILWAYS
NHSRCL completes three bridges on Bilimora-Surat section of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor Project
National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has completed work on three river bridges across Purna, Mindhola and Ambika
rivers on Bilimora -Surat section in Navsari district under the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor Project. With this, a total of four
bridges have been constructed under the project out of 24.
The project involves development of the 508.17 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail (HSR) corridor in the states of Maharashtra and
Gujarat with an investment of Rs 1,080 billion. It is being implemented by a special purpose vehicle (SPV), named National High-Speed Rail
Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), incorporated by the Ministry of Railways (MoR) and the respective state governments of Maharashtra and
Gujarat with an equity stake of [Link] respectively. The project is the first corridor to be explored for the railway's ambitious bullet train
project and also includes a 21 km long sub-sea tunnel from Mumbai to Thane.
The construction work on the Redevelopment of Faridabad Railway Station Project is likely to commence soon. Currently, dismantling of
railway quarters for the project has been completed while shifting of offices from the present station building to temporarily built offices is under
progress.
The project involves major upgradation of Faridabad Railway Station that include construction of two station building, multi-level car parking
(MLCP) on both sides, various passenger-friendly amenities and facilities including spacious waiting area, waiting lounge, retiring rooms, food
court, shopping facility, Lifts, Foot over Bridge (FoB) and other amenities will also be provided. The estimated cost for the project is Rs 2.62
billion.
DGCA approves LiDAR survey for Raising of Speed in Thiruvananthapuram-Mangaluru Route Project
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved to operate helicopter to conduct Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) survey
for the Raising of Speed in Thiruvananthapuram-Mangaluru Route Project.
The project involves raising the speed of the railway lines under the Thiruvananthapuram to Mangaluru in the state of Kerala from 130 kmph to
160 kmph.
The construction work on the Redevelopment of Kollam Railway Station Project is underway. The project is being developed by Joint Venture
(JV) of RITES Limited and SCWPL and the Project Management Services (PMS) for the same being provided by LEA Associates South Asia
Private Limited.
The project involves major upgradation of Kollam Railway Station in the state of Kerala. It involves various passenger-friendly amenities and
facilities including escalators, six lifts, multi level car parking, Pickup-Dropoff facilities and two Foot over Bridges (FoBs). The estimated cost
for the project is Rs 3.61 billion.
Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has invited bids for design, construction and modification of civil, structures
and track works for double line railway involving formation in embankments/cuttings, ballast on formation, track works, bridges, structures etc.
of between New Ekdil and New Bhadan station of the Dedicated Freight Corridor Project (Eastern Corridor). The last date for the submission of
bids is July 27, 2023.
The work is expected to be completed in four months at an estimated cost of Rs 259.65 million.
The project involves development of 1856 km long freight corridor in the states of West Bengal, Punjab, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh with an
investment of Rs 303.58 billion. DFCCIL has been incorporated as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) by the Ministry of Railways (MoR) for the
planning and development, mobilisation of financial resources and construction, maintenance and operation of the project.
RENEWABLE ENERGY
Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited has commissioned 122.5 MWp/ 81.67 MW out of total 210 MWp/150 MW capacity under the 300
MW ISTS Connected Solar Power Project (ISTS-VI) (Masaya) in Madhya Pradesh.
Masaya Solar Energy, a joint venture (JV) of UPC Renewables and AC Energy, is developing 300 MW/450 MWp of inter-state transmission
system (ISTS) connected solar photovoltaic (PV) project on build, own and operate (BOO) basis in Madhya Pradesh. The project is part of the
1,200 MW ISTS Connected Solar Power Project (ISTS-VI) for which the bids were invited by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
EoI invited for the development of 100 MW floating solar power project in Punjab (new)
Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) invited Expression of Interest (EoI) bids for the development of 100 MW floating solar power
projects in Punjab on June 30, 2023. The last date of bid submission is July 28, 2023.
The project involves identification of different water bodies and reservoirs for the development of 100 MW floating solar power project (FSPV)
in Punjab in coordination with Department of Water Resources, Punjab and other water bodies on build, own and operate (BOO) basis.
The power procured from the project will be supplied to the state distribution companies (DISCOMs) on long term basis at a tariff as discovered
in the bidding process by way of execution of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
HPPC extends bid due date for procurement of 500 MW solar power projects in Haryana
Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC) has extended the bid due date for procurement of 500 MW solar power from grid-connected solar
power projects to be set up anywhere in Haryana from June 26, 2023 to July 10, 2023. The bids for the same were invited in April 2023.
The scope of work includes design, finance, procurement of land, engineering, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance of the
projects in accordance with the power purchase agreement (PPA).
HPPC will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with successful bidders for a period of 25 years. A maximum of 10 MW capacity can
be set up by one solar power developer (SPD).
The projects are expected to be commissioned within 18 months of signing the PPA.
HPPC is a joint forum between Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN).
HPPCL has extended the bid due date for the development of 22 MW solar power projects in Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) has extended the bid due date for the design, supply, construction, erection, testing,
commissioning, and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for eight years for 22 MW solar power projects in the state. These include:
Development of 10 MW solar power project at Gondpur Bulla in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh. The bid due date for the project has been
extended from June 27, 2023 to July 6, 2023. Bids for the same were invited in April 2023.
Development of 12 MW solar power project at Bella Ludhiarchan in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The bid due date for the project
has been extended from July 1, 2023 to July 13, 2023. Bids for the same were invited in May 2023.
Bid due date extended for development of 200 MW ISTS Connected Solar Power Project in India
NLC India Limited has extended the bid due date for development of 200 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power
project anywhere in India along with three years of comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) from June 30, 2023 to July 7, 2023. The
bids for the same were invited in April 2023.
The scope of work includes procurement/lease of land, design, engineering, site development, manufacture, inspection, supply, insurance,
transport, storage, erection, testing, and commissioning of 200 MW solar power project along with development of associated evacuation system
from the substation up to the delivery point.
The project is expected to be completed within 15 months from the date of Letter of Award (LoA).
Bid due date extended for supply of 140.4 MWp solar modules in Punjab
SJVN Limited has extended the bid due date for supply and manufacturing of 140.4 MWp solar module for the 100 MW Grid Connected
Ground Mounted Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power Plants in Punjab from June 26, 2023 to July 11, 2023. The bids for the same were invited in
May 2023.
The work is expected to be completed within 4 months of the date of the Letter of Award (LoA).
This project involves the installation of two solar power plants of 50 MW each at Pojewal, and Rurki in the Garhshankar, and Nawanshahr
districts respectively in Punjab. SJVN will implement the project on build, own, and operate (BOO) basis. It will entail an investment of Rs 1.16
billion and is expected to be completed by June 2024.
Bid due date extended for selection of EPC contractor for 50 MW floating solar power project in Kerala
NHPC Limited has extended the bid due date for selection of an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the
development of the 50 MW Kollam Floating Solar Power Project from June 22, 2023 to July 13, 2023. Bids for the same were invited in April
2023.
The project involves development of 50 MW floating solar power project and associated transmission system for grid- connectivity along with
the comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for five years at West Kallada in Kollam district in the state of Kerala.
Bid due date extended for development of 300 MW solar power project in Andhra Pradesh under CPSU Tranche-III
Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has extended the bid due date for design, engineering, supply, construction, testing and
commissioning of 300 MW solar power project along with five years of comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) at Ramagiri in
Andhra Pradesh under the 1,200 MW Grid Connected Solar PV Power Project (CPSU Tranche-III) [SECI] from June 26, 2023 to July 26, 2023.
The bids for the same were invited in April 2023.
The project involves development of 300 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant (Tranche-III) under the 12,000 MW Central
Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) scheme Phase-II with a viability gap funding (VGF) support for self-use or use by Union and state
governments or government entities across the country. SECI won the bids for 1,200 MW capacity and is implementing the project on build,
own and operate (BOO) basis.
Bid due date extended for development of 267.24 MW grid-connected solar power plants in Rajasthan
Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JDVVNL) has extended the Request for Selection (RfS) bid due date for the design, survey, supply,
installation, testing, commissioning, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for 25 years of a cumulative 267.24 MW grid-connected distributed
solar power systems at Barmer circle in Rajasthan. The bids for the same were invited in May 2023.
These include:
Development of 53.36 MW solar power projects for feeder level solarization for 20 solar plants of 15 sub-stations in Padroo and Sindhari sub-
division of Siwana division under Barmer Circle in the state of Rajasthan. The last date for the submission of bids has been extended from June
27, 2023 to July 11, 2023. The work is expected to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.86 billion.
Development of 60.92 MW solar power projects for feeder level solarization for 23 solar plants of 18 sub-stations in Baytoo, Bhinyad, CSD-I,
CSD-II, Ramsar and Barmer-Rural sub-division of Barmer division under Barmer Circle in the state of Rajasthan. The last date for the
submission of bids has been extended from June 26, 2023 to July 10, 2023. The work is expected to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.13
billion.
Development of 70.56 MW solar power projects for feeder level solarization for 28 solar plants of 23 sub-stations in Gudalmani sub-division of
Gudalmani division under Barmer Circle in the state of Rajasthan. The last date for the submission of bids has been extended from June 26,
2023 to July 10, 2023. The work is expected to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.46 billion.
Development of 81.96 MW solar power projects for feeder level solarization for 29 solar plants of 24 sub-stations in Sedwa sub-division of
Gudalmani division under Barmer Circle in the state of Rajasthan. The last date for the submission of bids has been extended from June 27,
2023 to July 11, 2023. The work is expected to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.86 billion
The projects will be developed under component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM)
program on Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) mode for feeder level solarization in Balotra sub-division under Barmer Circle in the
state of Rajasthan.
JDVVNL will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years.
RfP bid due date extended for implementation of Titlagarh bypass Project
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has extended the Request for Proposal (RfP) due date for implementation of Titlagarh
Two Lane bypass Project from August 17, 2023 to August 29, 2023. Bids for the same were invited on June 26, 2023.
The project involves construction of 7.51 km long single lane/double lanes with paved shoulder bypass at Titlagarh town from 45.16 km 52.67
km including widening and strengthening from 44 km to 45.16 (missing link) on the national highway (NH-59) in the state of Odisha at an
estimated cost of Rs 936.5 million.

Ambala ring road project: The project involves construction of 22.52 km long six lane ring road connecting Kapuri Village on Shamli-Ambala
section of the National Highway (NH)-344GM to Bhari Village on Ismailabad - Ambala section of NH-152 from 18.22 km to 40.75 km in the
state of Haryana. It is being implemented on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) under Bharatmala Pariyojana.
Karnal Six-Lane Greenfield Ring Road Project (NH-44): The project involves construction of 34.5 km long six lane greenfield Karnal ring road
connecting the National Highway (NH)-44 near Village Shamgarh to Karnal – Munak Road (MDR -115) near Village Samalakha from 0 km to
34.5 km in the state of Haryana. It is being implemented on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) under Bharatmala Pariyojana.
RfP bids issued for preparation of DPR for Spur road to Bodhgaya and Rajgir
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) issued Request for Proposal (RfP) bids for providing consultancy services for preparation of
detailed project report (DPR) for construction of Spur Road to Bodhgaya and Rajgir from Amas-Darbhanga Corridor on NH-119D on June 28,
2023. The last date for the submission of bids is August 11, 2023.
The project involves construction of a spur to Bodhgaya and Rajgir from Amas-Darbhanga Corridor of NH119D in the state of Bihar.
The Public Works Department (PWD), Rajasthan issued Request for Proposal (RfP) bids for providing authority’s engineering (AE) services for
supervision of two road projects on June 28, 2023. The last date for the submission of bids is July 31, 2023.
The completion and maintenance period for the project is 18 months and 60 months respectively.
Rajgarh and Pilani Bypass Road Project (NH-709 ext): It involves construction of 12.68 km long two-lane road with paved shoulders for Rajgarh
Bypass from 0 km to 5.4 km and for Pilani Bypass from 35.84 km to 43.12 km on the National Highway (NH)-709 Extn in the state of Rajasthan
at an estimated cost of Rs 1,012.8 million.
Fatehpur, Mandawa, Jhunjhunu Two Lane Bypasses Project (NH-11): It involves construction of 26.84 km long two-lane road with paved
shoulders for Fatehpur Bypass from 0 km to 7.4 km and for Mandawa Bypass from 20.92 km to 27.3 km and Jhunjhunu Bypass from 41.62 km
to 54.68 km on the National Highway (NH-11) in the state of Rajasthan at an estimated cost of Rs 1,783.8 million.
MoRTH inaugurates and lays foundation stone for various road projects in Rajasthan
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various road projects in Rajasthan on July
4, 2023.
Projects inaugurated:
Kishangarh-Gulabpura Six Laning Highway Project (NH-79, NH-79A) (Package I): It involved involves six laning of the 90 km long
Kishangarh-Gulabpura stretch of the National Highway (NH)-79 and NH-79A at an estimated cost of Rs 15,300 million.
Kishangarh-Udaipur-Ahmedabad Six Laning Highway Project (NH-79) (Gulabpura-Chittorgarh Bypass) [Package II]: It involved six laning of
Kishangarh-Udaipur-Ahmedabad stretch of the National Highway (NH)-79 from 90 km (near Gulabpura) to 214.87 km (near Chittorgarh
bypass) at an estimated cost of Rs 21,000 million.
Fatehnagar Four Lane ROB (NH-162A) and Chambal High Level Bridge Project (SH-22).
The above four projects of total length 219 km are built at a cost of Rs 37,750 million.
Foundation stone has been laid for seven projects worth Rs 18,500 million of total length 221 km. These are:
Pratapgarh Bypass Project, Raas-Biaora Road Project, Sangwara Bypass Project, Garhi Bypass Project, Beawar-Gomti Road Underpass Project
(13 underpasses), Dungarpur, Udaipur, Banswara Road Project.
Besides, a total of 74 projects have been announced under CRF at a cost of Rs 22500 million.
The project involved construction of 1.08 km long two lane Ramban viaduct at an estimated cost of Rs 1,440 million in the union territory of
Jammu & Kashmir.
Besides, another two-lane viaduct, running parallel to this structure, is nearing completion and is likely to open soon. Earlier, in June 2023, the
Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) announced the completion of two-lane cantilever Jaiswal bridge over Chenab on
Udhampur-Ramban section NH-44.
KNR Kaveri Infra Private Limited, the special purpose vehicle (SPV) incorporated by KNR Constructions Limited (KNRCL), signed the
concession agreement with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for implementation of Mysore-Kushalnagara Four Laning Project
(NH-275) [Bharatmala Pariyojana] (Package IV) on June 28, 2023.
Package IV involves construction of access controlled four laning with paved shoulder from Mysore to Kushalnagara section of National
Highway (NH)-275 from Design Ch. 169 km at near State Highway (SH)-86 Ramanathapura – Terakanambi Road/KR junction in Hunsur to
Design Ch. 195.55 km at Yalachahalli near State Highway (SH)-117 Yelawala – KR Nagara Road junction on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM)
under NH(O) in the state of Karnataka.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has planned to construct the Edappally-Aroor Elevated Highway Project in Kerala.
The project involves construction of 16.7 km long elevated highway from Edappally to Aroor in Kochi in the state of Kerala.
URBAN TRANSPORT
Titagarh Rail receives LoA for Package RS2 of Surat Metro Phase I
Titagarh Rail Systems Limited has received Letter of Acceptance (LoA) worth Rs 8,570 million for design, manufacture, supply, testing,
commissioning and training of 72 standard gauge cars
under Package RS2 of Surat Metro Rail Project Phase-I on June 27, 2023. Bids for the same were invited by Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation
(GMRC) in November 2021.
The Surat metro project involves development of 40.35 km long metro rail in the state of Gujarat at an investment of Rs 120.2 billion. It consists
of two corridors, Corridor 1 involves 21.61 km long Sardhana-Dream City corridor including 6.47 km long underground section; while, Corridor
2 involves 18.74 km long Bhesan-Saroli section, which is a fully elevated corridor.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) invited bids for manufacturing and supply of turnouts and scissors under Package PT-4R of Patna Metro
Rail Project - Phase I on July 3, 2023. The last date for bid submission is August 2, 2023.
Phase I of the project involves the development of a 31.39 km long metro rail network in Patna state of Bihar at an estimated cost of Rs 133.65
billion. It involves the development of two corridors, viz. Corridor 1 (Danapur Cantt-Mithapur) and Corridor 2 (Patna Junction-Patna ISBT).
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Bid due date extended for SWM facility in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh
The Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation has extended the bid due date for the development of solid waste management (SWM) facility in
Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh from June 30, 2023 to July 20, 2023. Bids for the same were invited in June 2023.
The scope of work includes setting up of 500 tonnes per day (tpd) solid waste processing facility including a wet waste processing facility, dry
waste processing facility for municipal solid waste processing and sanitary landfill for process inserts along with Operation and Maintenance
(O&M) for 15 years and one year of defect liability period (DLP) through public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
Bid due date extended for bioremediation of legacy waste in Jhiri, Jharkhand
The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has extended the bid due date for bioremediation and cleaning of legacy waste at Jhiri dumpsite in
Jharkhand from July 1, 2023 to July 11, 2023. Bids for the same were invited in June 2023.
The project is likely to be completed in 730 days at an estimated cost of Rs 1,217.15 million.
Toshiba Water Solutions wins contract for rehabilitation of STP at Kadubeesanahalli, Bengaluru
Toshiba Water Solutions Private Limited has won a contract worth Rs 749.9 million for rehabilitation of sewage treatment plants (STP) at
Kadubeesanahalli, Bengaluru in Karnataka. Bids for the same were invited by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) in
February 2023.
The scope of work includes design, upgradation and rehabilitation of the existing 50 million litres per day (MLD) capacity STP at
Kadubeesanahalli including commissioning, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for a period of four years.
The Government of Telangana inaugurated the sewage treatment plant (STP) at Kokapet in Hyderabad, Telangana on July 1, 2023.
The scope of work included construction of a 15 million litres per day (mld) capacity STP based on advanced sequential reactor (SBR)
technology. The plant will treat sewage from Vattinagulapally, Taj Nagar, Journalists Colony (Gachibowli), Gowlidoddy and parts of the
Financial District at an estimated cost of Rs 661.6 million.
The Municipal Corporation of Pimpri-Chinchwad is planning to upgrade the drainage system in Pimpri- Chinchwad, Maharashtra.
Presently, a comprehensive survey of the entire drainage line network and natural drains is being carried out by DRA Consultants Private
Limited. Based on the survey, the drainage system will be upgraded at an estimated cost of Rs 3,000 million.
Consultancy bid due date extended for rejuvenation of Gangua drainage system in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha
Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has extended the bid due date for selection of design and supervision consultants for rejuvenation
of drainage system including Gangua Nallah in BDA area from July 1, 2023 to July 15, 2023. Bids for the same were invited in June 2023.
The scope of work includes survey, investigation, soil testing, preparation of comprehensive drainage master plan, project phasing, preparation
of detailed project report (DPR), land acquisition support, statutory approval, bid process management and overall project monitoring.
PMC bid due date extended for water supply scheme in 34 villages in Pune, Maharashtra
Pune Municipal Corporation has extended the bid due date for project management consultancy (PMC) for balance water supply works in 34
villages in Pune, Maharashtra from July 10, 2023 to July 17, 2023. Bids for the same were invited in June 2023.
The scope of work includes design review, supervision and project management consultancy for balance works of implementation of equitable
water supply system in newly merged 34 villages in Pune Municipal Corporation limits.
The project is being implemented in Pune in the state of Maharashtra at an estimated cost of Rs 29 billion. It will treat 755 million litres per day
(mld) of water. It involves constructing 103 reservoirs, utility shifting, pumping stations, laying of 1,700 km long transmission and distribution
pipelines and installation of water metres under smart metering scheme.
