SWORN STATEMENT OF COMPLAINT
…………I, Gladys F. Globio, 21 years old, Filipino, single, and residing at
No. 171, Sitio 1, Brgy. Bulihan, City of Malolos, Bulacan, after having been
duly sworn in accordance with the law, freely and voluntarily state the
following:
1. That on June 3, 2025, at around 3:00 PM, I went to the birthday
celebration of my friend Jazel C. Dela Cruz in Barangay
Bulihan, City of Malolos, together with my friend Miaca Jullian
C. Quising;
2. That during the drinking session, Salman, one of our friends,
saw the accused, Reine Justin S. Gatdula, 25 years old,
Filipino, single, and a friend of ours from the same barangay,
walking nearby and invited him to join us. He sat beside me and
behaved inappropriately by being touchy and looking at me in a
lewd manner. I kept removing his hand whenever he touched
me;
3. That at around 6:00 PM, Reine insisted on taking me home,
saying that I was too drunk to go alone and that he would return
to the party after. Despite my refusal, my friends trusted him
and allowed him to take me home. Before we left, Miaca initially
wanted to ride with us but changed her mind and stayed. Reine
then helped me onto his motorcycle, and we left;
4. That upon arrival at my residence, I told Reine to go home
because I was already safe. He refused and kept insisting on
going inside. When I continued to say no, he became angry,
pushed the door open, pointed a knife at me, and said, “Huwag
kang sisigaw, sasaksakin kita.” He then forced me into the
bedroom;
5. That inside the bedroom, while still pointing the knife at me,
Reine ordered me to take off my clothes. Out of fear, I
complied. He removed his shorts and underwear and
proceeded to rape me by forcibly inserting his penis into my
vagina against my will. I begged him to stop and reminded him
we were friends, but he ignored me. I could not escape due to
his physical force and threats with the knife;
6. That during the act of rape, I was crying and traumatized.
Meanwhile, Jazel and Miaca became worried because Reine
had not returned and I was not answering my phone. They
decided to go to my house, which was nearby;
7. That when my friends arrived, they heard me screaming for
help. They looked through a small opening in my bedroom
window and saw Reine on top of me, naked from the waist
down, while I was struggling and crying. They also saw that he
was pointing a knife at my neck. They immediately called the
Malolos City Police Station to report the rape;
8. That shortly after, the police arrived at my house and caught
Reine in the act of raping me. They identified themselves as
police officers, arrested him without a warrant under Rule 113,
Section 5(a) of the Rules of Court, read his constitutional rights
as mandated by the Miranda Doctrine, handcuffed him, and
brought him to the police station. The police also recovered the
10-inch knife he used during the rape;
9. That I was then brought to the Bulacan Medical Center for a
medical examination. The Medical-Legal Report confirmed that
I had been raped and had bruises on my arms and wrists
consistent with physical force. My friends also gave their sworn
statements about what they witnessed, which fully supported
my account;
10..That I am filing a criminal complaint for Rape through Sexual
…….Intercourse, as defined under Article 266-A(1) of the Revised
…….Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 8353 (The
…….Anti-Rape Law of 1997), in relation to Article 266-B(1), against
……Reine Justin S. Gatdula, for having carnal knowledge of me
……against my will and with the use of a deadly weapon.
That I am ready to testify before the court regarding all the matters
stated in this affidavit and to present all necessary evidence, including the
Medical-Legal Report, police report, and witness testimonies.
That whatever has not been stated in this affidavit, I am willing to
testify before the court if necessary, as proof that everything I have stated
herein is true and correct.
