NDT Level II Qualification ASNT-SNT-TC-1A

TARGETED AUDIENCE

Freshers, Inspectors, managers, production engineers, design office engineers and technicians.

Penetrant Testing (PT) 5-6 Hours

Learning objectives

 Select the NDT technique for the Liquid Penetrant Testing method to be used
 Define the limitations of application of the testing method
 Interpret and translate PT codes, standards, specifications and procedures into NDT
instructions adapted to the actual working conditions
 Set up and verify equipment settings
 Perform and supervise tests
 Carry out and supervise all tasks at or below level 2
 Provide guidance for personnel at or below level 2 and report the results of PT tests
 Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable standards, codes, specifications or
procedures.

 Preparation and pre-cleaning of the test surface

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) 6-8 Hours
