Reflection Paper
On March 19, we attended the seminar "Bank on It: Building Futures, One Step At A
Time," which provided valuable insights into the critical role of banking in the economy. The
event offered an overview of how banking acts as an intermediary, supporting individual
financial stability and fostering economic growth. It broadened my understanding of how the
financial sector influences personal wealth and the broader economic framework that sustains
national prosperity.
A key discussion focused on banks as intermediaries between savers and borrowers.
Banks do more than hold money—they manage and allocate financial resources, offer loans
to businesses and individuals, promote savings, and facilitate investments. These activities
enable business growth, help individuals achieve financial goals, and allow governments to
fund vital public services. Through these functions, banks are crucial to economic stability
and development.
The speakers also shared personal stories from their careers and highlighted the
importance of perseverance, innovation, and a clear vision for success in the banking
industry. It became clear that, like any other industry, banking requires not only expertise but
also ambition, determination, and adaptability to succeed in an ever-changing market.
Overall, attending the seminar was an enriching experience that deepened my
understanding of the role of banking in the economy. It reinforced the idea that banking is
more than just a space for transactions—it is a key driver of economic progress. The seminar
also inspired me to apply these insights to my personal and professional goals, focusing on

The College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) plays a key role in shaping future
professionals in the business and financial industries. Reflecting on my time in this college, I
recognize the wealth of knowledge and skills I have acquired, which will be vital in my
professional journey. The CBA offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students
with technical expertise, ethical understanding, and managerial capabilities, all essential for
success in the business world.
The focus on applying business and accounting theories to real-world situations has
provided me with valuable insights into various career paths, such as financial analysis and
marketing, which has deepened my understanding of how businesses function. The rigorous
coursework in accounting, management, economics, and finance has improved my ability to
think analytically, solve problems, and pay attention to detail—skills essential for success in
any business career.
Faculty members are crucial to the growth and development of the students. Their
vast knowledge, combined with a passion for teaching, has inspired me and others to aim for
excellence and set ambitious academic goals. More than just educators, they have offered
invaluable support and guidance inside and outside the classroom. This mentorship has
helped us to grasp challenging concepts and address real-world issues, leaving a lasting
impact on our academic journey.
In conclusion, reflecting on my experience at the College of Business and
Accountancy has been incredibly rewarding. I have gained technical knowledge in business
and accounting, as well as essential skills such as leadership, teamwork, and adaptability. The

As an ABM student, I have encountered a variety of courses aimed at developing a
well-rounded understanding of the business world. Among the courses offered, Operations
Management stands out as a subject that provides essential knowledge for managing and
optimizing business processes.
Operations Management is a critical field of study for anyone pursuing a business
career. It focuses on planning, executing, and managing operations to ensure businesses
produce products and services efficiently and effectively. The principles of Operations
Management are key to helping industries reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance
customer satisfaction. By studying concepts such as process optimization, supply chain
management, and inventory control, I can acquire the skills needed to contribute to success.
In business, effectively managing operations directly impacts a company’s
profitability. Operations Management enhances efficiency, ensures timely delivery, and helps
meet customer demands, all while maintaining high standards. These skills are applicable
across many industries, making Operations Management a crucial subject for anyone aspiring
to be a business leader.
In conclusion, although my interests lean more toward areas like accounting,

As the end of my senior year in high school is near, I can’t help but think about the
exciting and challenging path that awaits me. This moment seems like the beginning of a new
chapter, filled with endless possibilities and vital decisions that can shape my future. The
uncertainty of what lies ahead thrills and overwhelms me.
One of the most important decisions I’ve faced is choosing the right direction for my
education and future career. With so many fields and professions to explore, I often find
myself torn between various options, each offering rewards and challenges since it is
essential to assess our interests, strengths, and passions to select a path that aligns with our
values and long-term objectives. At the same time, we must also consider practical factors,
such as the job market, financial stability, and growth opportunities within each field.
