📖 Reading Passage: "A New Life in the City"
My name is Daniel, and I am 24 years old. I am from a small town in the countryside, but now I am a student in
New York City. Moving here was a big change, but I am very happy.
My apartment is small, but it is comfortable. My roommates are friendly and helpful. Our building is close to the
university, so I am usually on time for class. My classes are interesting, and the teachers are great.
Life in the city is busy and sometimes stressful, but it also is exciting. There are many things to do. On weekends,
my friends and I go to museums or parks. The city isn't quiet, but it is full of energy.
I miss my family, but we talk every week. They always ask, “Are you okay? Is everything good at school?” I tell
them, “Yes, I am fine. My grades are good, and my professors are nice.” My parents are proud of me.
Some days aren’t easy. Sometimes I am tired or homesick, but I remember why I came here — to learn and grow.
This city is my new home now, and I am thankful for this opportunity.
