Exchange Server 2010 Lab Setup

Installation Check List


1. Domain Name = nightssky.com
2. PDC FQDN = ADCEXCH.nightssky.com
3. ADC FQDN = ADCEXCH.nightssky.com
4. Password = Pa$$w0rd
5. Functional Level must 2003 or Higher.
In our organization:-
Go to Active Directory Domains and Trusts  Properties
 General
DFL = Windows Server 2008 R2
FFL = Windows Server 2008 R2

6. Global Catalog = Yes


Both PDC and ADC
Go to AD Sites and Services  Default
First Site Name  Servers  NTDS
Settings  Properties
7. Install RSAT.

8. C :\> repadmin /replsummary

C :\> repadmin /Queue


C :\> repadmin /Showrepl
C :\> repadmin /syncall
C :\> repadmin /kcc

9. C :\> setup /PrepareSchema


Execute this command from a user account that is member of both the Schema Admins group and the
Enterprise Admins group.

To open console
Start  Run  mmc /a
File  Add/Remove Snap-In
Active Directory Schema [Add >]

11. Setup.com /PrepareAD /OrganizationName: Galaxy

If you use Office 365:

If you use Exchange 2010 to 2019:

You can see it in ADSIEDIT under configuration\services\ms exchange server


12. Tests whether the WinRM service is running on a local or remote computer.
