THE WEATHER FORECAST PROJECT
TRIMESTER 2 - WORLD GEOGRAPHY 12TH GRADE
Objectives: In this project the students will develop and exploit their creativity, knowledge, skills and
understanding to create a video showcasing the weather forecast for 5 days in South Asia. This project is
a fun and rigorous way for high school students to prove and showcase what they have learned at the
end of chapter 25, and to show all that they research about the various weather patterns in our world.
Students will love becoming a meteorologist with this fun project!
Directions:
1.-Students will work in groups of 4 people, they will create a weather map, a weekly forecast for South
Asia, and a weather report of One Set of Countries of South Asia listed below:
1. India
2. Pakistan and Bangladesh.
3. Sri Lanka and The Maldives.
4. Nepal and Bhutan.
2.-Students will video themselves completing a weather forecast for 5 days. (The video will last between
2 to 5 minutes, every person in the group must be part of the video) Send the video to Google
Classroom.
