GENERAL GUIDE FOR SECTION WARS
About the Event:
• SECTION WARS is IIM Raipur's annual sports extravaganza, featuring
multiple sports conducted in a Knockout format.
• The section with the maximum overall points at the end of all primary
sports will be declared the "Champions."
Team and Player Guidelines:
1. Reporting Time:
• Teams must report 20 minutes before the scheduled start of their
match.
2. Section Representation:
• Players must participate only from their respective sections.
• FPM players, will represent Section “F.”
3. Substitutes:
• Substitute players must be arranged by the respective sections.
• Matches will not be rescheduled due to the non-availability of
players.
Match Conduct and Decision Making:
4. Referee and Sports Club Decisions:
• The referee’s decision during the game is final.
• In case of disputes, the Sports Club’s decision will be binding.
5. Schedule and Delays:
• Matches will follow the schedule and timings set by the Sports
Club.
• Matches can be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances but will
not be abandoned without a decision by the Sports Club.
6. Weather Conditions:
• In adverse weather (e.g., rain), the Sports Club will decide whether
to reschedule or abandon the match.
• For abandoned matches, half points will be allotted to both teams.
7. Injuries:
• If a player suffers a injury, the game will continue with the available
substitutes.
Behaviour and Conduct:
8. Campus Etiquette:
• All participants and spectators must behave civilly both on and off
the field, following campus rules.
9. Misconduct:
• Any player or spectator misbehaving with officials, players, and
spectators, or damaging campus infrastructure will face strict
action, including potential disqualification.
10.Spectator Protocol:
• Spectators must follow the specific protocols for each sport.
• Breaches may lead to the spectator being asked to leave the venue.
Conflict Resolution:
11. Raising Objections:
• Only CRs (Class Representatives) can raise objections in case of
discrepancies. Objections from others will not be entertained.
12. Unreported Matches:
• If a team fails to show up for the scheduled match time, the
opponent team will be declared the winner.
Additional Information:
13. Responsibility Clause:
• By participating, players acknowledge that the Sports Club is not
liable for any loss or damages before, during, or after the event.
14. Queries and Communication:
• For any questions or clarifications, participants can reach out to any
member of the Sports Club.
Key Notes:
• Ensure punctuality, teamwork, and adherence to rules for a smooth and
fair competition.
• Enjoy the spirit of sportsmanship and aim to make SECTION WARS a
memorable event.
• The referee for each match will be appointed by the Sports Club.
• In case of a dispute involving spectators, the first point of contact (POC)
will be the CR of the section to which the spectator belongs.
Spectator Guidelines:
• All spectators are expected to adhere to the following rules to maintain
decorum and ensure a smooth event:
General Rules for Spectators
1. Respectful Behaviour:
• Spectators must not use racial slurs, abusive language, or any form
of derogatory remarks.
2. Field Restrictions:
• Spectators are strictly prohibited from entering the field of play at
any time during the event.
3. Stay Within Designated Areas:
• Spectators must remain in their assigned viewing areas and not
encroach upon restricted zones.
4. Handling Disputes
• Point of Contact (POC):
▪ In case of a dispute involving spectators, the first point of contact
(POC) will be the CR of the section to which the spectator belongs.
• Disciplinary Action:
▪ Any spectator involved in a dispute or misconduct will be subject to
disciplinary action, and their name will be reported.
Keynote:
The Sports Club reserves the right to remove spectators who breach these
guidelines or disrupt the event in any manner. Spectators are encouraged to
uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and maintain a respectful atmosphere
throughout the competition.
1.BADMINTON
Squad Composition:
• Singles: One player per team.
• Doubles: Two players per team.
• Mixed Doubles: Must consist of one male and one female
player.
• Each player is allowed to participate in a maximum of two
categories.
Categories:
• Men’s Singles
• Women’s Singles
• Men’s Doubles
• Women’s Doubles
• Mixed Doubles
Category Points Allocation:
• Each category will have 10 points allocated.
• 6 points will be awarded to the winner.
• 4 points will be awarded to the runner-up.
1. Match Format
• Best of three games for all matches.
• Each game is played to 15 points using rally scoring (points
awarded on every rally).
2. Scoring
• A game must be won by a margin of 2 points, with a cap at 30
points (first to 30 wins if the score reaches 29-29).
3. Serve Rules
• Serve must be made diagonally to the opponent’s service
court.
• In doubles, players rotate positions after each point is won on
their serve.
4. Faults
• A point is lost if the shuttlecock lands outside the court, hits the
net, or is hit more than once by a team.
5. Deuce Rule
• If the score reaches 20-20, play continues until a team has a 2-
point lead, or the first to 30 points wins.
2.BASKETBALL
1. Match Format
• Each team should have a minimum of 5 players and
maximum of 10 players.
• 5-on-5 full-court match.
• Knock out games consist of four 8-minute quarters with a
90 second break.
• Final game is played in four 10-minute quarters (FIBA
rules) with a 3-minute break between each quarter.
2. Scoring
• Points awarded based on shot type: 1 (free throw), 2
(inside arc), 3 (outside arc).
3. Fouls
• Personal fouls include reaching, blocking, and charging.
• 5 personal fouls per player will be allowed. A player will
be warned after 3 personal fouls.
• In each quarter, after 4 team fouls, then onwards
every foul will award 2 free shots to the opposite
team.
4. Time Rules
• 24-second shot clock; 8-second half-court rule.
5. Timeouts
• Each team has a limited number of timeouts per game.
• One time-out per team will be allowed per quarter/half
except for the last quarter/half in which 2 time-outs per
team would be allowed.
• Each time-out lasts 30 seconds.
6. Substitutions
• Rolling substitutions are allowed.
• Substitutions can only be made when the ball is dead.
7. Team Composition
• Teams may include any combination of girls and boys with
one girl per team being mandatory on the field.
3.CARROM
1. Team Composition
• Each team consists of 2 players from each section.
• Players from the same team sit opposite each other.
• Carrom will be conducted in Doubles format only.
2. Match Format
Knock out Matches:
• Best-of-3 rounds.
• The team that clears all their coins first wins the round.
• The Queen must be pocketed and covered; it cannot be
left on the board.
Final Match:
• Best-of-5 rounds.
• The team that clears all their coins first wins the round.
• The Queen must be pocketed and covered; it cannot be
left on the board.
3. General Rules
• Breaking: The team that breaks plays with the white
coins.
• Half-Moon: Half-moon shots are not allowed.
• Striker Placement: The striker must be placed on the base
so that it touches both the baseline.
• Shot Rules: When taking a shot, the player’s hand must
not touch any coin on the board.
• No Backshot: Backshots are prohibited.
• Hands Off the Board: Players must keep their hands off
the board when it’s not their turn.
• Chair Position: Players should adjust their chair position
at the start for their range of angles and keep it fixed
throughout the match.
• Audience Interference: No external help from the
audience is permitted.
• Silence During Play: Players should remain silent when a
striker shot is being taken.
• Penalties: Penalties cannot be carried forward if a team
lacks coins to pay the penalty.
4. Special Situations
• Queen and Cover Sequence: If a player pockets the
Queen and the cover in the same turn but the cover goes
in before the Queen, the player must pocket another
cover in their next turn to validate the Queen.
• Opponent Pocketing Last Coin: If the opponent pockets
your last coin, you win the round, even if the Queen is still
on the board.
• Pocketing Last Coin Before the Queen: If a player pockets
their last coin before pocketing the Queen, the opponent
wins the round.
• Opponent's Cover on Queen: If a player pockets the
Queen along with the opponent's cover, the Queen is
awarded to the opponent.
• Pocketing Queen Without Own Coin: If a player pockets
the Queen without first pocketing any of their own coins,
the Queen is returned to the board without awarding an
extra strike.
• If a player strikes the opponent's carrom piece directly,
one penalty coin will be added back to the board.
These rules and special scenarios cover specific game situations,
ensuring clarity on special cases and promoting fair play.
4. CHESS
• Team Structure
• Each section must provide one player for the event.
• Event Format
• Win, draw, or loss based on checkmate, stalemate, or
resignation.
• Tournament Structure: The event follows a knockout format.
• Matches are set to 10 minutes with a 2-second increment per
move.
• Knockout matches consist of one round each.
• The Final Match consists of three rounds.
• Rules
• Standard moves: touch-move rule applies.
• Tiebreak
• In the event of a tie, the result will be decided through an
Armageddon game
5. CRICKET
1. Squad Composition
• Each team consists of 11 players, including a captain,
batsmen, bowlers, and a wicketkeeper.
2. Match Format
• Regular Matches: Limited overs format, with each team
playing 10 overs per match.
• Powerplay: The first 3 overs of each inning are designated
as powerplay overs, during which no more than 2 fielders,
are allowed outside the 30 yards.
• Final Matches: Final matches will be extended to 15 overs
per team. The first 5 overs of each inning are designated
as powerplay overs
• Ball Type: Matches are played with tennis balls. Outside
powerplay maximum 5 fielders can be outside the 30-yard
circle.
3. Scoring
• Runs can be scored by hitting the ball and running
between the wickets or by hitting boundaries (4s and 6s).
• Runs from overthrows are allowed, but there will be runs
for byes and leg byes.
4. Bowling Rules
• Each bowler has a limited number of overs:
• A total of 5 bowlers must be used by each team
▪ Only 1 bowler is permitted to bowl up to 3 overs
▪ Up to 3 bowlers are allowed a maximum of 2 overs
each
▪ One bowler will bowl just 1 over.
• No Ball Rules:
▪ No balls and wides result in extra runs and
additional deliveries.
▪ No jerky movements are allowed during the bowling
action. If a bowler is found guilty of jerking, they will
receive a warning. After the first warning, they will
be disqualified from bowling for the remainder of
the match, and the deliveries will be called no-balls.
▪ If a bowler bowls 3 beamers in an over, they will be
disqualified from bowling for the rest of the match.
• Bouncers: A bowler is allowed two bouncers per over. A
third bouncer in the same over will be called a no-ball.
• Appeals: Only the batter is allowed to appeal the bowler’s
action in terms of jerk bowling.
5. Dismissals
• Standard Dismissals: Common methods of dismissal
include bowled, caught, run-out and stumped.
• Catch Rule: If a catch is taken, the batsman is not allowed
to change ends.
6. Tiebreaker
• In the event of a tied score at the end of regular play, a
Super Over may be used to determine the winner.
6. FRISBEE
Team composition: Maximum 6 Players (Open for both Men &
Women with 2 women mandatory each in the team)
1. Match Duration:
• Each match consists of two halves, each lasting 10 minutes.
2. Substitutions:
• Rolling substitutions are allowed but can only be made when
the disc is not in play.
3. Player Composition:
• Each team must have always at least 2 women players on the
field.
4. Timeouts:
• Each team is allowed 2 timeouts per half, each lasting 60
seconds.
5. Game Play:
• The game begins and resumes after every point with both
teams standing in their respective zones. The defense initiates
play by throwing the disc to the offense (known as the pull).
• After scoring, both teams must return to their respective
positions. The team that did not score will take the next
possession
• Players must stop running immediately after catching the ball.
They are allowed to pivot to make their next move
• A point is scored when a player completes a pass inside the
opponent’s scoring zone.
• Possession changes:
1. After a point is scored.
2. When a team fails to complete a pass.
6. Incomplete Passes: A pass is deemed incomplete in the
following cases:
• The player fails to catch the disc (drops it).
• The disc goes out of bounds.
• The defence intercepts the pass.
• The defence deflects the disc, causing it to fall incomplete.
7. Player Actions:
• Players cannot run while holding the disc; pivoting is allowed.
• Jumping and throwing the disc are not permitted.
• A player can hold the frisbee for a maximum of 5 seconds
before passing it.
• Handling the disc after losing possession is prohibited.
• No more than three players are allowed to block one player at
any time
8. Non-contact Rule:
• Ultimate Frisbee is strictly a non-contact sport. Physical contact
or body touches are not allowed.
9. Time-Wasting:
• Intentionally throwing the disc out of bounds to waste time is
not permitted.
10. Penalties:
• Violation of any rules can result in a 2-minute penalty for the
offending player or team.
• If the referee identifies repeated violations (e.g., intentionally
throwing the ball out of bounds), the penalty will result in a
reduction of up to 2 Points, depending on the severity of the
infraction.
7. FUTSAL
1. Squad Composition
● Each squad must comprise a minimum of 8 players and a
maximum of 10 players:
• 4 field players and 1 goalkeeper will be on the field at a
time.
• Remaining substitutes will complete the squad.
2. Match Format
• Each team has 5 players on the field, including the goalkeeper.
3. Match Duration
• Regular Matches: Each Regular match is played over two halves
of 15 minutes each, the clock stops whenever the ball is out of
court.
• Break: A 5-minute break will take place after the first half.
• Final Match: The Final match is played over two halves of 20
minutes each, the clock stops whenever the ball is out of court.
4. Substitutions
• Rolling substitutions are allowed. Players can substitute at any
time, but the player must leave the field before the replacement
enters.
5. Goalkeeper Rules
• Goalkeepers can only handle the ball within their penalty area.
• Goalkeepers are only permitted to throw the ball using an
underarm motion.
• Violation of Throwing Rules: If a goalkeeper throws the ball
overarm for the first time, they will receive a warning. Any
subsequent overarm throws will result in a direct penalty being
awarded to the opposing team.
6. Game Rules
• Kick-ins and corners will be applicable as per standard rules.
• Goals can only be scored from the opposition's half of the pitch.
Any goal scored directly from a kick-off, throw-in, or goalkeeper
throw will be considered invalid.
7. Tiebreaker
• If the match is tied at the end of regular time, the winner will be
decided by a penalty shootout. No extra time will be played.
8. Penalties
• Penalty kicks are awarded for fouls committed inside the penalty
area. The kick is taken from the penalty mark, and only one step
is permitted for the penalty to be considered valid.
9. Kick-Ins
• Instead of throw-ins, the ball is kicked back into play from the
sidelines.
10. Card Penalties
• Card Issuance: The card given will be determined by the referee
based on the severity of the foul.
• Green Card: A player receiving a green card will be given a
warning. Two consecutive green cards will result in a yellow card,
and three consecutive green cards will be upgraded to a red
card, leading to the player's removal from the match.
• Yellow Card: A player receiving a yellow card will be suspended
from the match for 2 minutes.
• Red Card: A player receiving a red card will be permanently
removed from the match. The team will then be required to play
with only 3 outfield players and one goalkeeper for the
remainder of the game. Additionally, based on the severity of
the foul, the referee may impose a further ban for future
matches.
11. Referees
• They are responsible for enforcing the rules and managing fouls.
• The referee's decision regarding any point of fact or rule
interpretation during the match is final and cannot be
contested.
• Any player who challenges the referee's authority or engages in
a dispute during the game will be issued a Green Card as a
warning. Continued misconduct after receiving the Green Card
may lead to further disciplinary action, including suspension
from the match.
8. SQUASH
1.Squad Composition
• Singles: One player per team.
2.Event Format
• Knockout Rounds:
• Matches are best of three games, with each game played
to 11 points using rally scoring.
• Finals
• Matches are best of three games, with each game played
to 21 points using rally scoring.
3.Scoring Rules
1. A player scores a point on every rally, regardless of who served
(rally scoring).
2. If the score reaches 10-10 (in knockouts) or 20-20 (in finals), a
player must win by 2 points to secure the game.
4.Serve Rules
1. The serve must be made from the service box and hit the front
wall above the service line before landing in the opponent's back
quarter of the court.
2. The server alternates after each point.
3. A valid serve must not hit the tin or go out of bounds.
5.Faults and Violations
1. Out of Bounds:
• A fault occurs if the ball hits the out-of-bounds line or the
wall above it.
2. Tin Violation
• A fault occurs if the ball hits the tin at the base of the front
wall.
3. Improper Serve
• A serve that does not reach the front wall or does not land
in the opponent’s back quarter results in a fault.
6.General Gameplay Rules
1. Let and Stroke Decisions
• A "let" is called if players obstruct each other, and the rally
is replayed.
• A "stroke" is awarded to a player if the opponent's
obstruction prevents a winning shot.
2. Ball Contact
• The ball must only be struck once per rally. Double hits
result in a point loss.
3. Continuous Play
• Players must keep the game flowing without unnecessary
delays.
9. SWIMMING
1. Squad Composition
• One player from each section; categories for men and
women.
• Separate event for both men and women
2. Event Format
• Races organized by stroke (freestyle), which will be 2x25m
for men and 25m for women
3. Scoring
• The fastest swimmer in each event wins.
4. Rules
• Swimmers must follow the correct stroke and turn
techniques.
• Any deviation from this rule will result in the referee
imposing a penalty of adding 3 seconds to the final time
5. Tiebreaker
• In case of a tie, a re-race may be organized.
10. TABLE TENNIS
1. Squad Composition:
• Singles: One player per team.
• Doubles: Two players per team.
• Mixed Doubles: Must consist of one male and one female
player.
• Each player is allowed to participate in a maximum of two
categories.
2. Categories:

• Women’s Singles
• Men’s Doubles
• Women’s Doubles
• Mixed Doubles
Category Points Allocation:
1. Each category will have 10 points allocated.
2. 6 points will be awarded to the winner.
3. 4 points will be awarded to the runner-up.
3. Event Format:
• The tournament will follow a knockout format.
4. Singles Matches:
• Each game will be played to 11 points.
• For knockout Matches will be decided as a best-of-3 games
contest.
• For finals each game is 11 points, and it will be a best of 5 games.
5. Doubles Matches:
• Each game will be played to 11 points.
• Matches will be decided as a best-of-3 games contest.
• For finals each game is 11 points, and it will be a best of 5 games.
6. Scoring:
• A point is awarded to a player if their opponent:
• Fails to make a proper service.
• Misses the ball.
• Hits the ball off the table without touching the opponent’s
side.
• The winner of a game is the first player/team to reach 11 points,
with a lead of at least 2 points.
• If the score reaches 10-10 (deuce), serve alternates after every
point until a player leads by 2 points.
7. Serve Rules:
▪ Singles:
• The serve alternates every 2 points during regular play.
▪ Doubles:
• The serve must be made diagonally, landing in both the
server’s and receiver’s courts.
• Players on the same team must alternate hitting the ball
during a rally.
▪ Let Serve:
• If the ball touches the net on a legal serve but lands in the
opponent’s side, it is a "let," and the serve is retaken.
8. Player Conduct:
• Players must not touch the table or move it during play.
• Players are prohibited from distracting their opponents or using
unfair tactics.
• Misconduct may result in a point penalty or disqualification at
the referee’s discretion.
9. Faults:
● A fault occurs if:
• The ball fails to land on the opponent’s side.
• The player touches the table or moves it during the rally.
10.Timeouts:
• Each player/team is allowed one timeout per match, lasting 1
minute.
11.Tiebreaker Rules:
• If the scores are tied at the end of a match, the game follows
standard deuce rules (alternating serves and a 2-point lead
requirement)
11. THROWBALL
1.Team Composition:
• Teams must consist of 7-12 players (Only women).
2.Event Format:
• 7v7 format.
3.Knockout Rounds:
• Matches will consist of 3 sets, each played to 15 points.
4.Finals:
• Matches will consist of 3 sets with scores of 21 points.
5.Substitutions:
• Rolling substitutions are allowed and can only be made
when the ball is dead.
6.Serving Rules:
• After every service break, a different player must serve.
7.Timeouts:
• Each team is allowed 2 timeouts per set, each lasting 60
seconds.
8.General Rules:
1. Ball Handling:
• Players must catch the ball with both hands and return it
using one hand only.
• The ball must be thrown with a release from above the
shoulder/shoulder line.
• Underarm throws are not allowed.
2. Serving:
• The service ball must not touch the net.
• The server must stay within the service zone without
crossing the end line while serving.
• The ball must be served only after the referee blows the
whistle and within 5 seconds.
• Double touches are not allowed when receiving a service
ball.
• The players must maintain a 2-3-2 position (2 at the front,
3 in the middle, and 2 at the back) during the service.
3. Dead Zone Rules:
• A dead box will be located near the net on both sides.
• If the ball lands in the dead box during play, the opposing
team scores 1 point.
• If any player steps into the dead box, it results in a foul, and
1 point is awarded to the opposing team.
4. Ball Handling During Rally:
• Caught balls must be released within 3 seconds.
• Players are not allowed to shift the ball between hands
(e.g., right to left or vice versa). Violating this results in
penalty points.
• Catches must be clean; the ball must not touch the player’s
body while catching
5. Movement Rules:
• Players may not take more than one step in any direction
after catching the ball. Violations result in a foul.
• Players may jump and throw the ball but must maintain
contact with the ground while catching.
6. Other Rules:
• Two players cannot catch the ball simultaneously. Doing so
results in a point for the opposing team.
• If the ball touches the box line or falls into the dead zone,
it is considered a foul.
• Wasting time by intentionally throwing the ball out of
bounds results in a foul, and the opposing team is awarded
1 point
7. Scoring
• Rally scoring used (points awarded on every rally).
12. TUG OF WAR
1. Team Composition:
• Each team consists of 6 players.
• This event is for both Men and Women
2. Event Format:
• Knockout Format.
• Matches are played in 3 rounds.
3. Team Stability:
1. A team must play all 3 rounds with the same set of 5
players.
2. Substitutions between rounds are not allowed.
• The team winning 2 out of 3 rounds will be declared the
winner.
4. General Rules:
1. Rope Setup:
• The rope must be marked with:
1. A centerline.
2. Two additional marks placed 4 meters from the
centerline.
• At the start of the match, the centerline on the rope
should be directly above the line marked on the ground.
2. Pulling Rules:
• Both teams will pull the rope.
• A team wins when they pull the opponent's mark beyond
their boundary line.
• The rope must always be pulled underarm.
• Fouls:
1. Players are not allowed to let their elbows drop
below their knees during the pull.
2. Any violation of this will result in a foul.
3. Victory Conditions:
• The match is won by the team that wins best 2 out of 3
rounds.
4. Points Distribution:
Total Points Allocated: 50 points.
• Men's Event: 25 points.
1. Winner: 15 points.
2. Runner-up: 10 points.
• Women's Event: 25 points.
1. Winner: 15 points.
2. Runner-up: 10 points
13. VOLLEYBALL
1.Team Composition:
• Each team must have a minimum of 6 players and a maximum
of 12 players.
• The event is open to both men and women, allowing mixed-
gender teams.
• Teams can use any combination of boys and girls for the
matches.
2.Event Format:
• Knockout Matches and Final Match:
1. Matches will follow a best-of-3 sets format.
2. Set points for league matches: 25, 25 and 25.
• Final Match:
1. Match will follow a best-of-5 sets format.
2. Set points for final match: 21, 21, 21, 21 and 21.
3.Match Rules:
1. Gameplay Rules:
• All matches follow the official FIVB rules.
• Standing matches only (no rotation of player positions).
• After each serve break, serves will rotate among players.
• Tossing the ball during the serve is mandatory.
2. Substitutions:
• Rolling substitutions are allowed.
• Substitutions can only be made when the ball is dead.
3. Timeouts:
• Each team is allowed 2 timeouts per set of 60 seconds
during league and finals matches.
4. Fouls:
• Double touch, line cross, net touch, body touch, holding the
ball.
• Overreach or using the palm to lift the ball.
• Only one leg is allowed during a rally to lift the ball.
• Teams will be disqualified for bad behaviour.
5. Clarifications:
• Only the team captain may seek clarification on referee
decisions.
6. Special Notes:
• Players must serve from within the service zone and adhere to
FIVB rules.
• If a ball touches the line, it is considered in.
14. WEIGHTLIFTING
1.Team Composition:
• Each section can field 2 men and 2 women for the event.
• Separate events will be held for men and women.
• Men will compete in the following weight categories:
▪ 55-80kg
▪ 80+ kg
• Women will compete in the following weight categories:
▪ 50-70kg
▪ 70+ kg
2.Event Format:
• The event comprises 3 activities:
1. Bench Press
2. Squats
3. Deadlift
• Each player gets 3 attempts per activity to lift the maximum
weight.
• The winner will be determined based on the maximum
cumulative weight lifted across all three activities.
3.Scoring:
• The best of three lifts in each activity will be considered for
scoring.
• In case of a tie, the lifter with the lower body weight will be
declared the winner.
4.Rules and Lift Standards:
General Rules:
1. Standard Powerlifting Techniques:
• Lifts must adhere to standard techniques.
• Any improper lift will be disqualified.
2. Referees and Judgments:
• Referees will monitor proper form and adherence to lift
standards.
• The referee's decision is final.
Activity-Specific Rules:
1. Bench Press:
• The lifter must lie on the bench with their feet flat on the
floor.
• The bar must be lowered to the chest and remain
motionless before the referee's press command.
• The head, shoulders, and buttocks must maintain contact
with the bench throughout the lift.
• Feet must remain flat throughout the lift.
2. Squats:
• The lifter must descend until the hip crease is below the
top of the knee.
• The lifter must stand upright with hips and knees fully
extended.
• Feet must remain flat on the floor throughout the lift.
• The lifter must wait for the referee's squat command.
3.Deadlifts:
• The lifter must lift the barbell from the ground to an
upright position.
• Knees must be locked out, and shoulders pulled back.
• The barbell must be held stationary until the referee gives
the down command.
• Only conventional style is allowed.
4.Tiebreaker:
• In case of equal cumulative weights lifted, the lifter with the
lower body weight will be declared the winner.
5.Category Points Allocation for Weightlifting:
• Total Points Allocated: 25 points.
1. Men's Event: 12.5 points.
▪ Winner: 7.5 points.
▪ Runner-up: 5 points.
2. Women's Event: 12.5 points.
▪ Winner: 7.5 points.
▪ Runner-up: 5 points.
