ACTIVITY SUMMARY

Student (coordinator) name: Chaithra USN:4MW21AI010

Title: IEEE Eureka - Raise awareness on upcoming technology

Activity held at:
1. Shri Narayana guru kannada medium school
2. Shri Narayana guru english medium school
3. Innanje kannada medium school
4. Trinity central school

Objectives:
1. Give Students an idea of upcoming technology and work in Engineering
2. Allow them to have a broader perspective on higher education
3. Interact and understand the current education system and its effectiveness in
the growth of students as valuable human resources for the nation.

Description:
This is a wonderful initiative by the IEEE, where high-school and degree students
interact on a common topic and broaden our horizons on Engineering as a whole.

Our team shortlisted a group of schools for this endeavor, my block got a chance to work
with the students. We prepared material on the topic- ‘Robotics in the medical field’
which included an in-depth analysis of robotics used in various fields of medicine and its
future scope as a stable technology.

We expected some participation but had our expectations blown away when every
student wanted to know more about it. The students actively asked questions on the topic
and we were able to meet their zeal.

We got positive feedback from the faculty and the principal for the activity.

Outcomes:
1. Have a new angle of approach on Engineering
2. Inspire students to step outside their comfort zone and explore other subjects of
interest.
3. Personal growth in communication, team management and team-building skills.

Learning from this activity:

1) We learnt how to manage time very well.
2) We learnt how to work in co-ordination as a team.
3) We learnt how to complete a task in an efficient and effective way.
4) We developed skills like perfection in work, how to complete the work in a neat
and tidy manner.
