Type the paragraph below as it is using “Calibri font”, font size 12.
MS WORD
Microsoft Word is a word processor developed by Microsoft. It was first released in 1983 under
the name Multi-Tool Word for Xenix systems. MS Word is a popular word-processing program
used primarily for creating documents such as letters, brochures, learning activities, tests, quizzes
and students’ homework assignments. There are many simple but useful features available in
Microsoft Word to make it easier for study and work. That’s why so many people would prefer
to convert the read-only PDF to editable Word and edit PDF in Word.
1) Change the font type to “Lucida Calligraphy” and size to 14.
2) Alignment to your paragraph to right margin.
3) Save this file as ms-word.doc in “my document” folder using save as option.
4) Edit some part of your document and save again using save option.
5) Close the file.
6) Open this file again using open option from office button.
7) View the file you have created using print preview option.
8) Take a print out of this document through print option.
2. 1) Create a new file using new option.
2) Select some part of your document of PRACTICAL -2 and copy it to new file created in
bullet 1. Use shortcut keys for copy and paste.

4) Search for word “documents” using find option.
5) Replace the word “Microsoft” with “MS”.
6) Select your document by using select all option and change the font size 12 of your
document.
7) Underline the “Microsoft-word” using underline option.
8) Draw a line through the middle of the selected text Xenix systems using strikethrough
option.
9) Create small number below the text baseline of the word “Multi-Tool” using subscript
(ctrl+=)as shown below

5) Select the last row of the table and deleted the entire row.

9) Add a thick red border around the picture.

10. Calculate the Gross pay for employee; enter a formula in cell E4 to multiply Hourly
Rate by Hours Worked.
11. Calculate the Social Security Tax (S.S Tax), which is 6% of the Gross Pay, enter a
formula in cell F4 to multiply Gross Pay by 6%.
12. Calculate the Net Pay; enter a formula in cell G4 to subtract Social Security Tax from
Gross Pay.
13. Set the work sheet vertically and horizontally on the page.
