YARN-WORSTED WEIGHT (4) YARN BEE SOFT AND

Start with a magic ring or ch 5 and sl st into first ch to make a ring

Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), work 11 dc into ring. Sl st into top of ch 3 to join. (12sts)

Rnd 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in same space. *Work 2dc in next st. Repeat 10 times. Sl st
to top of ch 3 to join. (24sts)

Rnd 3: Ch 3 (counts as first dc). Dc in next st. *In next st, place two dc. In
next st, place one dc. Repeat to end of round where you will place one
dc in same st as the original ch. Join with sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off and
cut yarn. (36sts)

Rnd 4: Join new yarn with sl st to any dc. Ch 3 (counts as first dc). Work dc into same st. Work
one dc each in the next 2sts. *In the next st, place two dc. In the next two sts, work one dc in
each. Repeat till end of round. Join with sl st to top of ch3. (48sts)

Rnd 5: Ch3 (counts as first dc). Work one dc in next 3sts. Work 2 dc in the
next st. Repeat until end of round and then place another dc in same st
as original ch. Join with sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off and cut yarn. (60sts)

Rnd 6: Join new yarn with sl st to any dc. Ch 3 (counts as first dc). Work
another dc, ch2, and two more dc all into same st as starting ch. In next
two sts, place one dc in each. In next two sts, place one hdc in each. In next six sts, place one
sc in each. In next two sts, place one hdc in each. In next two sts, place one dc in each. *In
next st, 2dc, ch2, 2dc. In next two sts, place one dc in each. In next two sts, place one hdc in
each. In next six sts, place one sc in each. In next two sts, place one hdc in each. In next two
sts, place one dc in each. Repeat two more times. Join with sl st to top of
ch3. (72sts)

Rnd 7: Sl st to ch2 sp. Ch3 (counts as first dc). In same ch sp, work
another dc, ch3, 2dc. In next 18 sts, place one dc in each. *In ch sp, work
2dc, ch3, 2dc. In next 18 sts, place one dc in each. Repeat two more times.
Join with sl st to top of ch3. Fasten off and cut yarn. (88sts)

Rnd 1: Ch2. Work 2sc in second ch from hook.


Rnd 2: Turn. Ch 1. Place 1sc in first st and 2sc in second st.
Rnd 3: Turn. Ch1. Place 1sc in first and second st and 2sc in
third st.
Rnd 4: Turn. Ch1. Place 1sc in first, second, and third st.
Place 2sc in last st. Ch1 to fasten off and cut yarn leaving a good size tail to sew to square.

Finish square by sewing on ears, whiskers, and stars. You can also add eyes or a mouth to your cat if you
prefer. For an extra cool look, use glow in the dark yarn for the stars!
