TEXT : Robin Hood

A long time ago in England, there lived a man named Robin Hood who lived with a group of other
men in sherwood Forest. Robin was a strangge thief. He stole from the rich and gave what he had
stolen to the poor. Everyone knew about Robin Hood. The king was mad. He didn’t want a thief to be
a hero. He sent his men to sherwood to catch Robin. They couldn’t catch him. Robin Hood fought the
king’s men each time.

One day, Robin Hood sent a message to the king. The message read as follows : « come with five
brave men, we will see who is stronger ». The king wanted to see if what people said about Robin
Hood was true. He invited Robin to come and live in the castle for one year and a day.

Robin became fed up with the life in the castle and asked the king for permission to leave. They
didn’t want him to o, he said : « Robin Hood could visit sherwood forest only one week ». Robin
promised to return. Robin had never breoken his promise.
