The Early Childhood Education course session Social and Emotional Development left a
deep impression on both my heart and mind.
The session provided me with better understanding of children's emotional states and their
social conduct. The inner emotions of children manifest through their behavior so we need to
understand their emotional needs while showing them love and patience and sympathy.
The session improved my communication skills and observation abilities and my capacity to
support children. Children need to develop self-awareness and self-confidence and positive
relationship skills and emotional recognition abilities starting from early childhood.
I will observe children's emotional behavior with greater awareness while making efforts to
provide them with guidance. This educational session transformed me into both a
professional educator and a human protector while teaching me effective educational

Question 2:

How did the course impact your philosophy or approach to early learning and childcare?

The class really changed my philosophy for life.I got to know so much more about young
children's development, how they work and learn, and what they need mentally, emotionally,
and socially through this course. I discovered how every child is a unique individual who
deserves to be given the time, respect and love to be able to flourish. This class instilled a
sense of compassionate and mindful caregiver in me. Next time I do children’s work, I will
bear in mind the age and interests and the cultural aspects of the group of children I am
working with.I also discovered how to build positive relationships with children to help boost
confidence and to make a warm, secure and welcoming area for children.
The kind of personality development I got after doing this course is tremendous.

approach your job search?

I undertook this course to be a better child development expert and provide them with an
opportunity to grow, learn play and thrive in a safe environment.“I could be more patient and I
could plan for children now.I do not serve in any day care. This class has exponentially
increased my understanding of how children develop, physically, mentally, socially and
emotionally, in a child’s life!” I also gained insights in positive guidance, communication and
inclusivity.
I want to apply it field now. I still have yet to get a job at any daycare, so I’ve been looking on
job sites in my area.
