EXPLANATION TO DIFFERENCE OF MOBILE OS AND DESKTOP OS

Mobile OS:
Typically supports a single primary user with limited guest or secondary account options. User profiles are more
simplified, focusing on app permissions and syncing across devices. Power management is optimized for battery life,
with sleep, hibernation, and quick power-off options. Power settings are minimal but effective. Navigation relies on
touch gestures, home screens, and app grids. Multitasking involves app switching or split screens. Settings are
streamlined and categorized for quick access, focusing on user-friendly features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and privacy.
Limited customization, mainly icons, widgets, themes, and wallpapers.

Desktop OS:
Allows multiple user accounts with extensive customization for each profile, including admin privileges and file-
sharing between users. Includes advanced power options, such as detailed sleep settings, power plans, and system
shutdown or restart procedures for various use cases. Uses mouse and keyboard for navigation, with a desktop
interface, taskbar, and windowed applications for multitasking. Features a comprehensive Control Panel or Settings app
with in-depth options for system configuration, hardware, and advanced settings. Extensive customization, including
themes, desktop layouts, shortcuts, and third-party tools.
Task 2: Customize and Navigate

1. Customize:
o Change the wallpaper or theme of your device.
o Set up a shortcut on the home screen.
o Enable and demonstrate the use of widgets or split-screen mode (if available).
2. Evidence: Provide screenshots showing each customization step.
