Most Used Keyboard Shortcuts in

DaVinci Resolve
(default settings)
Timeline Zoom:

Shift + Z: fit timeline to screen width


Alt + mouse wheel: horizontal timeline zoom
Shift + mouse wheel: vertical timeline zoom

Inserting media from media pool to timeline:

F10: append to end of timeline


F9: insert at playhead position
i: mark in point
o: mark out point
Alt + X: remove in and out points
Alt + i: remove only the in point
Alt + o: remove only the out point

Editing:

Ctrl + B: split clip


Ctrl + C: copy clip or clip attributes
Ctrl + X: cut a clip
Ctrl + V: paste clip
Alt + V: paste clip attributes
A: “select” edit mode
T: “trim” edit mode
N: toggle snapping on/off
D: disable or enable selected clip(s)
Shift + S: toggle audio scrubbing on/off
Ctrl + R: retime controls for selected clip
M: add marker
, (comma): move, slide or trim one frame to the left
. (period): move, slide or trim one frame to the right
Ctrl + left-click: allow selecting multiple clips
+number Enter: move playhead or a clip "number" frames to the right
-number Enter: move playhead or a clip "number" frames to the left

Playback:

J: play clip or timeline backward (press multiple times for faster playback)
K: stop playback
L: play clip or timeline forward (press multiple times for faster playback)
Spacebar: play forward or stop playback
P: enter or exit full screen mode
Left Arrow: move playhead one frame to the left
Right Arrow: move playhead one frame to the right

Project:

Ctrl + i: import media to media pool


Ctrl + S: save project
Ctrl + N: create new timeline
Ctrl + Z: undo last action (press multiple times to undo previous actions)

Fusion page:

Shift + Spacebar: search for tools (Nodes) to add


F2: rename Node
Ctrl + T: swap inputs of the Merge Node
Ctrl + P: disable or enable selected Node(s)
1: show selected Node’s output in viewer 1 (left)
2: show selected Node’s output in viewer 2 (right)
Ctrl + F (with the viewer in focus): fit viewer to available space
F (in the Spline panel): easy ease Keyframes
V: show or hide the Nodes navigation panel
+ Enter (in attribute value field): add expression

Color page:

Alt + S: add serial Node after


Shift + S: add serial Node before
Ctrl + D: disable or enable selected Node(s)
Shift + D: disable or enable Color Grading (equivalent to disabling all Nodes)
