How Regular Past Simple Verbs
should be pronounced.
• Remember that we don’t normally pronounce the e
in –ed.
• The –ed ending is usually pronounced /t/ or /d/.
For example:

Please note that the ending of the word is k, f, c, p,
x, gh, sh, ch or ss when adding –ed, we pronounce

Homework: Writing “My last holiday”
On Khmer New Year, I went to Kompong Som. I went there with my family. I drove on
the expressway for the first time. We arrived there at around 9 am in the morning. The
weather was warm and sunny. We then had picnic on the beach. We grilled some
seafood, and it was very delicious. It was not very crowded. It was such a fun holiday
after all.
