INTRODUCTION

Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and

stature and in favour with God and men. (NKJV)

The introduction of Luke about the Lord Jesus is

noteworthy. Long before Jesus Christ was born, there
had been tremendous prophecy about His birth,
passion and resurrection. Therefore, as soon as Jesus
Christ was manifested, it was expected that He fulfill
all that was written concerning Him from start to
finish. This was indeed a great task for a Man whose
destiny had been noised abroad, both on earth and
underneath the earth. Romans 8:19: For the earnest
expectation of the creature waiteth for the
manifestation... (KJV). This scripture showed the
great waiting by all creation for our Lord Jesus Christ;
imagine such an expectation! Despite the multitude of
scriptures written about the accomplishment of His
mission, Jesus Christ needed the favour of God
Almighty to fulfill His life mission. If therefore, this
was required for the son of God, then no man or
woman can excel in life without the favour of God
Almighty.

6
Favour simply means to be advantaged, set above or
preferred. It could also mean an unusual help rendered
to a man or woman by God Almighty. The favour of
God Almighty made Jesus Christ to be advantaged,
set above and preferred. Hebrews 1:4-5: having
become so much better than the angels, as He has
by inheritance obtained a more excellent name
than they. For to which of the angels did He ever
say:"You are My Son, Today I have begotten
You"? And again:"I will be to Him a Father, and
He shall be to Me a Son"(NKJV). In verse nine of
the same chapter one in the book of Hebrews, it
says…therefore God hath anointed thee with the
oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Jesus Christ indeed enjoyed the favour of God to the

maximum, as he was preferably anointed above all
His fellows that had ever been used of God Almighty
in ministry. The favour of God flavours a man or
woman’s life and makes him acceptable to God
Almighty and to fellow human beings. There is no
doubt that the life of our Lord Jesus was full of favour
and everything He did was done perfectly well: Mark
7:37. And were beyond measure astonished, saying,
He hath done all things well… I see you preferred
above others in your ministry, career, business,

7
academics, and in every area of your endeavours in
the precious name of Jesus.

8
CHAPTER ONE

FAVOUR COMPELS THE ENEMIES TO HELP

The favour of God Almighty guaranteed Jesus Christ

access to many homes, including the homes of sworn
enemies such as the Pharisees: Luke 7:36-Then one
of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He
went to the Pharisee's house, and sat down to eat.
(NKJV). This is a group that fought against the
genuineness of Jesus Christ’s miracles, His doctrines
and divinity: Matthew 12:14 ‘Then the Pharisees
went out and plotted against Him, how they might
destroy Him.(NKJV), yet favour of God Almighty
caused His enemies to entertain and honour Him at
their own expense!
There was a time when Jesus Christ was traveling and
He had to go through Samaria, He got to this city
wearied from his journey; John 4:6 ‘Now Jacob's
well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with
his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about
the sixth hour. (KJV). Prior to this occasion, the
Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans: John 4:9
‘Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is
it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a
Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings

9
with Samaritans.(NKJV). History has it that the
Jews avoided going through Samaria on their way to
Galilee, even though the journey takes a longer time
by avoiding Samaria. This issue is not unconnected
with the latent animosity between the Jews and the
Samaritans. This was the situation in the days of the
ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ on earth in Israel,
but when He got to Samaria, Jesus was not only
welcomed, He was accommodated for two days; at
their expense: John 4:40 ‘So when the Samaritans
were come unto him, they besought him that he
would tarry with them: and he abode there two
days’.(KJV). I see your enemies from this day falling
over themselves to help you by the favour of God
Almighty in the precious name of Jesus.

David also enjoyed this favour from the philistines who

were sworn enemies of Israel as recorded in 1 Samuel
27:5-7- ‘Then David said to Achish, "If I have now
found favour in your eyes, let them give me a place
in some town in the country, that I may dwell there.
For why should your servant dwell in the royal city
with you?" So Achish gave him Ziklag that day.
Therefore Ziklag has belonged to the kings of
Judah to this day. Now the time that David dwelt in
the country of the Philistines was one full year and
four months.(NKJV). This was the same David that

10
killed the champion of the Philistines and caused them
to suffer humiliation and monumental casualties:
1Samuel 17:48-51 ‘So it was, when the Philistine
arose and came and drew near to meet David, that
David hurried and ran toward the army to meet the
Philistine. Then David put his hand in his bag and
took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the
Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into
his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. So
David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and
a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him.
But there was no sword in the hand of David.
Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine,
took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and
killed him, and cut off his head with it. And when
the Philistines saw that their champion was dead,
they fled.(NKJV).

This man, David, also used the Philistines to pay the

dowry of his wife, Michal, as recorded in 1 Samuel
18:22-27 ‘And Saul commanded his servants,
"Communicate with David secretly, and say, 'Look,
the king has delight in you, and all his servants love
you. Now therefore, become the king's son-in-law.'"
So Saul's servants spoke those words in the hearing
of David. And David said, "Does it seem to you a
light thing to be a king's son-in-law, seeing I am a

11
poor and lightly esteemed man?" And the servants
of Saul told him, saying, "In this manner David
spoke." Then Saul said, "Thus you shall say to
David: 'The king does not desire any dowry but one
hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to take
vengeance on the king's enemies.'" But Saul thought
to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines. So
when his servants told David these words, it pleased
David well to become the king's son-in-law. Now the
days had not expired; therefore David arose and
went, he and his men, and killed two hundred men
of the Philistines. And David brought their foreskins,
and they gave them in full count to the king, that he
might become the king's son-in-law. Then Saul gave
him Michal his daughter as a wife.(NKJV).

David also made name by destroying the Philistines

in 1 Samuel 18:6-7 ‘Now it had happened as they
were coming home, when David was returning
from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the
women had come out of all the cities of Israel,
singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with
tambourines, with joy, and with musical
instruments. So the women sang as they danced,
and said:"Saul has slain his thousands, And David
his ten thousands."(NKJV)

12
This was the same David that a lord of the Philistines
gave a whole city at his own expense, all because of
God’s Favour.

13
CHAPTER TWO

YOU MAY NOT HAVE THE FRAME BUT

FAVOR GIVES YOU THE FAME.

The favour of God Almighty makes the physical

frame of a man or woman not to be a yardstick for
acceptance and approval. Isaiah the prophet gave a
vivid description about the Lord Jesus in Isaiah 53:2-
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant,
and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form
nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is
no beauty that we should desire him’.(KJV), but
despite this, Jesus Christ was accepted, approved and
celebrated because of God’s favour. Jesus, without
comeliness was famous and followed by multitudes:
John 12:19’ the Pharisees therefore said among
themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing?
behold, the world is gone after him.(KJV). The
favour of God makes a man or woman without any
physical appeal to be celebrated by all and sundry. I
see you being celebrated from today by the favour of
God Almighty irrespective of your physical
appearance in the precious name of Jesus.

14
In the nation of Israel, only the king can be given a
heroic welcome and Jesus Christ, despite His non-
comeliness was given a glorious welcome by the
people all because of God’s favour: John 12:12-13
On the next day much people that were come to the
feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to
Jerusalem, Took branches of palm trees, and went
forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is
the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the
Lord.(KJV).
I see the favour of God Almighty causing you to be
celebrated from today in the precious name of Jesus.

15
CHAPTER THREE

FAVOUR GIVES ACCESS TO FORTUNES

Jesus Christ was born in a manger, not in a standard

clinic as recorded by the scripture in Luke 2:16’ and
they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph,
and the babe lying in a manger. Also, during His
dedication, His parents could not afford the
customary lamb that was required for the dedication
of a male child in Israel: Leviticus 12:8 And if she
be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring
two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the
burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering:
and the priest shall make an atonement for her,
and she shall be clean. Luke recorded that they could
not afford the lamb: Luke 2:22-24 Now when the
days of her purification according to the law of
Moses were completed, they brought Him to
Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord (as it is
written in the law of the Lord, "Every male who
opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord"),
and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in

16
the law of the Lord, "A pair of turtledoves or two
young pigeons."
That was the background of the Lord Jesus Christ until
one day when the favour of God Almighty brought
Him a divine visitation of the wealthy, and through
that, the financial and material resources required for
Jesus Christ’s upbringing were supplied in a single
day! This is nothing but God’s favour. Matthew 2:11-
And when they had come into the house, they saw
the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell
down and worshiped Him. And when they had
opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him:
gold, frankincense, and myrrh. These gifts were
brought by wise men from the East who came as a
company, and in the ancient times, a company was
equal to four hundred men: Genesis 32:6 Then the
messengers returned to Jacob, saying, "We came
to your brother Esau, and he also is coming to meet
you, and four hundred men are with him." Now,
imagine four hundred wise men who were the
billionaires of their day bringing gold, frankincense
and myrrh to Jesus. This shows that all the financial
and material needs of Jesus Christ were met. As you
read this book, all the resources required throughout
your lifetime will be supplied by God’s favour in the
precious name of Jesus.

17
CHAPTER FOUR

FAVOUR OF GOD: A TERMINATOR OF

CHRONIC PROBLEMS

Genesis 18:1-3 ‘Then the LORD appeared to him

by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in
the tent door in the heat of the day. So he lifted his
eyes and looked, and behold, three men were
standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran
from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself
to the ground, and said, "My Lord, if I have now
found favour in Your sight, do not pass on by Your
servant’.
The above scripture is noteworthy, as the first person
recorded in the scripture to ask God Almighty for
favour is Abraham. This favour made God Almighty
to dine in the house of a mortal; it was a dining that
forever changed the life of Abraham. As a result of
this favour, Abraham obtained his long awaited
promise: Genesis 18:10- And He said, "I will
certainly return to you according to the time of life,
and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son". The
favour of God Almighty terminated a barrenness of
ninety nine years! This shows that the favour of God
is the terminator of any chronic problem, no matter
18
how long it had lasted. I declare from this day that
every long outstanding problem in your life be
abolished and terminated by God’s favour in the
precious name of Jesus.

19
CHAPTER FIVE

FAVOUR GUARANTEES ESCAPE FROM

DEATH

The favour of God Almighty was no doubt evident in

the life of Joseph the son of Israel as stated in
Genesis 39:3-5 ‘So Joseph found favor in his sight,
and served him. Then he made him overseer of his
house, and all that he had he put under his
authority. Also, in the prison, it was recorded that
the favour of God was with Joseph: Genesis
39:21‘But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed
him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the
keeper of the prison.
The manifestation of God’s favour in Joseph’s life
was extraordinary. This favour showed up for him
even when Potiphar’s wife accused Joseph of an
attempted rape; Genesis 39:17-21.Then she spoke to
him with words like these, saying, "The Hebrew
servant whom you brought to us came in to me to
mock me; so it happened, as I lifted my voice and
cried out, that he left his garment with me and fled
outside.” So it was, when his master heard the
words which his wife spoke to him, saying, "Your

20
servant did to me after this manner," that his
anger was aroused. Then Joseph's master took him
and put him into the prison, a place where the
king's prisoners were confined. And he was there
in the prison, as the simple penalty for Joseph would
have been death, not just imprisonment: Esther 7:810.
When the king returned from the palace garden to
the place of the banquet of wine, Haman had fallen
across the couch where Esther was. Then the king
said, "Will he also assault the queen while I am in
the house?” As the word left the king's mouth, they
covered Haman's face. Now Harbonah, one of the
eunuchs, said to the king,
"Look! The gallows, fifty cubits high, which
Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good on the
king's behalf, is standing at the house of
Haman."Then the king said, "Hang him on it!" So
they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had
prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath
subsided. This was the punishment that could have
been meted out to Joseph immediately, but by the
favour of God Almighty, his life was spared! The
favour of God Almighty annuls death in a man or
woman’s life: Psalm 30:5 ‘..His favour is for life.

Favour of God Almighty also worked in the life of

Esther and enabled her to escape death when she

21
broke a royal rule: Esther 4:10-12 ‘Then Esther
spoke to Hathach, and gave him a command for
Mordecai: "All the king's servants and the people
of the king's provinces know that any man or
woman who goes into the inner court to the king,
who has not been called, he has but one law: put all
to death, except the one to whom the king holds out
the golden scepter, that he may live. Yet I myself
have not been called to go in to the king these
thirty days." That was the law in the days of
Ahaesarus the king of Persia, but the favour of God
Almighty made Esther to escape death: Esther 5:1-2
‘Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther
put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner
court of the king's house, over against the king's
house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the
royal house, over against the gate of the house. And
it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen
standing in the court, that she obtained favour in
his sight: and the king held out to Esther the
golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther
drew near, and touched the top of the scepter.’ The
favour of God was also at play in the life of Noah when
the Lord was to destroy the then world in the days of
Noah. It took the favour of God to spare Noah and his
family from death and destruction: Genesis 6:6-8 ‘And
the LORD said, "I will completely wipe out this

22
human race that I have created. Yes, and I will
destroy all the animals and birds, too. I am sorry I
ever made them." But
Noah found favor with the LORD.(NLT)
The favour of God Almighty was also at play in the
life of Lot when the Lord decided to destroy Sodom.
Lot and his household escaped the swift destruction
of the city by the favour of God Almighty: Genesis
19:18-22 ‘Then Lot said to them, "Please, no, my
lords! Indeed now, your servant has found favor in
your sight, and you have increased your mercy
which you have shown me by saving my life; but I
cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil
overtake me and I die. See now, this city is near
enough to flee to, and it is a little one; please let me
escape there (is it not a little one?) and my soul
shall live." And he said to him, "See, I have
favored you concerning this thing also, in that I
will not overthrow this city for which you have
spoken. Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do
anything until you arrive there." Therefore the
name of the city was called Zoar.
I see every sentence of death over your life, family,
finance, business and ministry cancelled by God’s
favour in the precious name of Jesus.

23
CHAPTER SIX

THE FAVOUR OF GOD GIVES YOU THAT

WHICH YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED FOR.

The favour of God is a powerful force that removes

limitation from a man or woman’s life. It is clearly
seen that without the favour of God Almighty that
operated in Joseph’s life, there would have been a
limit to the position that a shepherd boy like Joseph
from a family of shepherds could attain in Egypt, for
every shepherd was an abomination unto the
Egyptians, yet, Joseph the shepherd boy became the
Governor General of the whole land of Egypt:
Genesis 46:31-34 ‘And Joseph said unto his
brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up,
and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren,
and my father's house, which were in the land of
Canaan, are come unto me; And the men are
shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle;
and they have brought their flocks, and their herds,
and all that they have. And it shall come to pass,
when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, what is
your occupation? That ye shall say, Thy servants'
trade hath been about cattle from our youth even
until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye
24
may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every
shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
Joseph was so highly favoured that the whole land of
Egypt and all Egyptians bowed the knees for him:
Genesis 41:43 And he made him to ride in the
second chariot which he had; and they cried before
him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all
the land of Egypt.

The favour of God Almighty also worked further in the

life of Joseph in the adoption of his two sons, Ephraim
and Manasseh. These two were grandsons to
Israel, and without any doubt, the other brothers of
Joseph had sons, but the limitation line between these
two sons of Joseph and their uncles was removed
because of the favour of God Almighty upon Joseph.
Genesis 48:5 ‘And now thy two sons, Ephraim and
Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of
Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine;
as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.
What a favour!!

There was the testimony of a bother who wrote an

examination for employment in a multinational company.
After the test results came out, he was told that he did
not meet the required cut off mark for the job. However,

25
favour came into action as two weeks later this same
multinational company called him for an interview and
subsequently gave him the job he applied for; this is
favour in action!
Supernatural lifting and ‘fixing’ is by the favour of the
Lord. Psalm 89:17 For thou art the glory of their
strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

By the favour of God Almighty, every limitation in

your life hindering you from getting to the top of your
purpose and destiny is hereby removed by the divine
favour of God Almighty in the precious name of
Jesus.

26
CHAPTER SEVEN

FAVOUR OF GOD ENSURES JOURNEY TO

FINAL DESTINATION.

The desire of every believer is to get to their final

destination in life and in ministry. The favour of God
Almighty working in the life Joseph ensured that his
remains got to Canaan centuries later .The patriarchs’
bodies, after their passage to eternity were all taken
back to Canaan for burial: Acts 7:15-16 ‘So Jacob
went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,
And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the
sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money
of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.
This service was done for all, except Joseph, but he
made the children of Israel to promise that they will
bury him in Canaan: Genesis 50:24-26 And Joseph
said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely
visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the
land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to
Jacob. And Joseph took an oath of the children of
Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall
carry up my bones from hence. So Joseph died,
being an hundred and ten years old: and they
embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.

27
Four hundred years later, the favour of God Almighty
in the life of Joseph came into action and his bones
were taken by Moses and transported to Canaan:
Exodus 13:19 And Moses took the bones of Joseph
with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of
Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye
shall carry up my bones away hence with you.
Joseph’s remains travelled with the children of Israel
for forty years and despite the various challenges
Israel encountered on the way, his bones were finally
interred in Canaan: Joshua 24:32 ‘And the bones of
Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out
of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of
ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor
the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of
silver: and it became the inheritance of the children
of Joseph.

Favour of God Almighty made Joseph to get to his final

destination. I see you by God’s favour getting to that
place that the Lord had ordained for your good in every
facet of life and to the final destination of every
believer in Jesus Christ, which is Heaven, in the
precious name of Jesus.

28
CHAPTER EIGHT

FAVOUR OF GOD IS A CURSE TERMINATOR

Favour of God Almighty as a curse terminator can be

seen in the life of Ruth the Moabitess. This woman
who happened to be a foreigner to the commonwealth
of Israel came by faith to associate with the people of
God. The turning point in her life came when she
prayed for favour and from that day on, things took a
different turn in her life: Ruth 2:2 ‘And Ruth the
Moabitess said to Naomi “let me go to the fields
and pick up the leftover grain behind anyone in
whose eyes I find favour’ (NIV). With this prayer,
the door of favour was flung open for Ruth. Prior to
this prayer, Naomi asked Ruth to return to her
mother’s house and not her father’s house, indicating
that Ruth’s mother’s was a widow, for if she still had a
father, Naomi could have asked her to return to her
father’s house: Ruth 1:8 ‘And Naomi said to her
two daughters-in-law," Go; return each to her
mother's house. The LORD deal kindly with you,
as you have dealt with the dead and with
me.(NKJV). All these point to the fact that the
widowhood of Ruth was a family trend which was the
manifestation of the curse of early widowhood.

29
However, when Ruth married Boaz after her prayer of
favour, she did not lose her second husband. This
shows that the favour of God is a curse breaker.

It is also noteworthy that Ruth in her first marriage

was married for ten years without any child; this is
indeed barrenness: Ruth 1:1-4 Now it came to pass
in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a
famine in the land. And a certain man of
Bethlehem Judah went to sojourn in the country of
Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons. And the
name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of
his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons
Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehem
Judah. And they came into the country of Moab,
and continued there. And Elimelech Naomi's
husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.
And they took them wives of the women of Moab;
the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of
the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten
years.(KJV). Barrenness was a great curse in the Old
Testament times and Ruth had it for ten years. But
after she prayed for favour and got married to
Boaz ,this problem of barrenness was destroyed as
God Almighty enabled and empowered her to
conceive: Ruth 4:13 ‘So Boaz married Ruth and
took her home to live with him. When he slept with

30
her, the LORD enabled her to become pregnant,
and she gave birth to a son.(NLT). I see any curse
that may be in your life terminated by God’s favour in
the precious name of Jesus.

31
CHAPTER NINE

FAVOUR MAKES YOU TO BE AT THE RIGHT

PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME

There is no better way to succeed than to be where one

ought to be at the right time. This is crucial for success
in life, business and in ministry. Ruth prayed for
favour to be at the right place, at the right time, and the
Lord by His favour caused her to be on Boaz’s field at
the right time: Ruth 2:2-3 ‘So Ruth the Moabitess
said to Naomi, "Please let me go to the field, and
glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may
find favor."And she said to her, "Go, my
daughter." Then she left, and went and gleaned in
the field after the reapers. And she happened to
come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who
was of the family of Elimelech. This favoured move
made her meet Boaz, who eventually married her and
that is how she came to be in the lineage of the
Messiah of humanity, Jesus Christ. This shows that
favour orders a man or woman’s steps aright.

In the oriental community of the Old Testament, it was

the job of the women to fetch water; giving this role to a
man was considered a great punishment: Joshua 9:22-
23 ‘And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto

32
them, saying, wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying,
we are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?
Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of
you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of
wood and drawers of water for the house of my
God.(KJV). But because of God’s favour in the life of
Ruth, Boaz ordered men to perform this task for Ruth
who was a foreigner: Ruth 2:8-9 Then Boaz said to
Ruth, "You will listen, my daughter, will you not?
Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here,
but stay close by my young women. Let your eyes be
on the field which they reap, and go after them.
Have I not commanded the young men not to touch
you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and
drink from what the young men have drawn.
There is a testimony of a sister who got a job with one
of the leading banks in the southern part of Nigeria, and
on resumption she was sent to the Northern part of the
country for a three months training programme on the
job. On getting home, she prayed for favour and on
arriving in the northern state of Kano in Nigeria, she
was posted to one of the branches where she met her
husband. As at the time of the writing of this book, the
couple has been richly blessed with three children.
In the name of Jesus, the favour of God Almighty will
always make you to be at the right place at the right
time.

CHAPTER TEN

FAVOUR BRINGS OUT FROM OBSCURITY TO LIMELIGHT.

Multitudes of women were gleaning on the field of Boaz,

but only Ruth was singled out; this is God’s favour in
action: Ruth 2:5-7 ‘Then Boaz said to his servant who
was in charge of the reapers, "Whose young woman
is this?” So the servant who was in
charge of the reapers answered and said, "It is the
young Moabite woman who came back with Naomi
from the country of Moab. This was also the same
scenario that played out in the life of Ruth’s great
grandson David who was selected from among seven
other kingly materials: 1 Samuel 16:10-13 Again,
Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel.
And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not
chosen these. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here
all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet
the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep.
And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for
we will not sit down till he come hither. And he sent,
and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal
of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to.
And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

34
Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him
in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the
LORD came upon David from that day forward. So
Samuel rose up, and went to
Ramah.(KJV). It is indeed the favour of God
Almighty that causes one to be noticed for good in the
midst of the multitude. This favour of God Almighty
brought David, an ordinary shepherd boy, from
obscurity in the field to the palace and to the presence
of the king: 1 Samuel 16:21-22 And David came to
Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him
greatly; and he became his armourbearer. And Saul
sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand
before me; for he hath found favour in my
sight.(KJV)

The favour of God Almighty brings you from

obscurity to a divine limelight of God’s goodness and
prosperity in the precious name of Jesus.

35
CHAPTER ELEVEN

FAVOUR OF GOD CAUSES A MAN OR

WOMAN TO SIT AND DINE IN THE HIGH
PLACES.

The favour of God worked further in the life of Ruth

when Boaz who was a prince in Israel and a mighty
man of wealth served her bread: Ruth 2:14-15 Now
Boaz said to her at mealtime, "Come here, and eat
of the bread, and dip your piece of bread in the
vinegar." So she sat beside the reapers, and he
passed parched grain to her; and she ate and was
satisfied, and kept some back (NKJV). It is God’s
favour that makes a man or woman to be served by
kings and queens: Isaiah 49:23-And kings shall be
thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing
mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their
face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy
feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for
they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.(KJV).
The normal protocol is for kings and queens to be
served and nursed; it takes the favour of God Almighty
for this order to be reversed. I see you walking and
sitting in the high places of honour by God’s favour in
the precious name of Jesus.

36
CHAPTER TWELVE

FAVOUR OF GOD CAUSES A MAN OR

WOMAN TO OUTSHINE HIS OR HER
COMPETITORS.

The story of Esther is an extraordinary one, because it

happened in a land where a Jew could not rise to the
peak of prominence. As a matter of fact, they were in
Persia as captives.

In the introduction of the book of Esther, we were told

the extent of the king’s dominion: Esther 1:1 Now it
came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus (this was the
Ahasuerus who reigned over one hundred and
twenty-seven provinces, from India to Ethiopia),
(NKJV). Looking at these regions of King
Ahasuerus’ dominion which stretched from India to
Pakistan to Iran and Ethiopia, it would have been
difficult for a Jewess like Esther to have competed
with the women from these regions and won, as these
areas till date still consist of the most beautiful women
physically on earth. But when Esther appeared before
the king, favour of God Almighty made her
outstanding, outshining the other contestants: Esther
2:16-17 ‘So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus
37
into his house royal in the tenth month, which is
the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
And the king loved Esther above all the women,
and she obtained grace and favour in his sight
more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal
crown upon her head, and made her queen instead
of Vashti. This is a clear manifestation of God’s
favour in the life of Esther as this exalted position was
sought by beautiful virgins from one hundred and
twenty seven countries! Favour of God Almighty
delivers unto a man or a woman’s bosom good and
excellent things that are widely sought after. The
favour of God showers the glory of God upon a man
or woman and causes him or her to be outstanding:
Psalm 90:17 And let the beauty of the LORD our
God be upon us…

I see you getting that extraordinary blessing widely

sought after by nations with ease in the precious name of
Jesus.
From this day you will always outshine your
competitors in all honours in the precious name of Jesus.

38
CHAPTER THIRTEEN

THE FAVOUR OF GOD SECURES YOUR

INHERITANCE.

The favour of God in the life of Esther did not end

when she was enthroned as the queen, but this favour
came to fore once more when her ordination was
challenged. The virgins were gathered together the
second time after Esther’s ordination to determine
whether there could still be a more beautiful damsel.
This is seen in Esther 2:16-19 ‘So Esther was taken
unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the
tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the
seventh year of his reign. And the king loved
Esther above all the women, and she obtained
grace and favour in his sight more than all the
virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her
head, and made her queen instead of Vashti. Then
the king made a great feast unto all his princes and
his servants, even Esther's feast; and he made a
release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according
to the state of the king. And when the virgins were
gathered together the second time, then Mordecai
sat in the king's gate.(KJV) Despite this second
gathering, Esther was not displaced! The favour of

39
God Almighty guarantees, secures and protects one’s
lifting, estate and inheritance. Do not be afraid as
those extraordinary blessings and lifting that God
Almighty has given you is divinely secured by the
favour of God: Psalm 30:7 LORD, by your favor
You have made my mountain stand strong…
(NKJV).
Favour of God almighty is indeed an inheritance
guarantor-Psalm 44:3-For they did not gain
possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did
their own arm save them; But it was Your right
hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance,
Because You favored them.(NKJV) In the name of
Jesus, all your goodly inheritances are guaranteed and
secured by God’s favour.

40
CHAPTER FOURTEEN

FAVOUR OF GOD MAKES THE IRREVERSIBLE

TO BECOME REVERSIBLE.

The law of the Persians and Medes is considered

irreversible when promulgated: Esther 1:19 ‘If it
please the king, let there go a royal commandment
from him, and let it be written among the laws of
the Persians and the Medes, that it be not
altered .(KJV) This was the case when the Jews in
the days of Esther were ordered to be killed. Esther
boldly sought the audience of the king and got the
decree reversed by God’s favour: Esther 8:4-8 And
the king held out the golden scepter toward Esther.
So Esther arose and stood before the king, and
said, "If it pleases the king, and if I have found
favor in his sight and the thing seems right to the
king and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written
to revoke the letters devised by Haman, the son of
Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to
annihilate the Jews who are in all the king's
provinces. For how can I endure to see the evil
that will come to my people? Or how can I endure
to see the destruction of my countrymen?" Then

41
King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther and
Mordecai the
Jew, "Indeed, I have given Esther the house of
Haman, and they have hanged him on the gallows
because he tried to lay his hand on the Jews. You
yourselves write a decree concerning the Jews, as
you please, in the king's name, and seal it with the
king's signet ring; for whatever is written in the
king's name and sealed with the king's signet ring
no one can revoke." (NKJV). There are people that
the enemy has written bad decrees about their lives,
ministry, business and destiny, I see the favour of God
cancel such evil decrees in your life and replace them
with excellent blessings in the precious name of Jesus.
Whatever has been written against your life by the
enemy, whatever law or decree that has been
promulgated against you from your house, community
or country, the favour of God cancels such evil decrees
and replaces them with God’s goodness in the precious
name of Jesus.

42
CHAPTER FIFTEEN

ACTS THAT CANCEL FAVOUR

There is no doubt that the favour of God Almighty

makes life easy and smooth for an individual in life,
callings, business and ministry, but it is important to
note that there are favour killers. These, among
others are stated below:

PRIDE
Hezekiah was a king that was highly favoured of God,
but he allowed his success and achievement to get to
his head, thereby incurring the anger of God: 2
Chronicles 32:25 ‘But Hezekiah did not repay
according to the favor shown him, for his heart
was lifted up; therefore wrath was looming over
him and over Judah and Jerusalem.(NKJV). This
action eventually led to the punishment of Judah.
Hezekiah’s successor was so evil that the Lord made
up his mind to do away with Jerusalem and Judea
completely. When the favour of God Almighty is
producing great and excellent results in your life,
never think that it is by your power, but rather give
glory to God Almighty: Proverbs 29:23 A man's

43
pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit
will retain honor.(NKJV)
Every form of pride including the exclusion of Jesus
Christ in a man or woman’s life is a favour killer.

IMMORALITY
David was a man highly favoured of God: 1 Kings
3:6 ‘And Solomon said, Thou hast showed unto
thy servant David my father great
lovingkindness...(ASV), but David nearly destroyed
this favour by his act of immorality in taking the wife
of his trusted and loyal officer Uriah. This action
fetched him the judgement of God, and severe
consequences: 2 Samuel 12:7-12 Then Nathan said
to David, "You are the man! Thus says the Lord
God of Israel: 'I anointed you king over Israel, and
I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave you
your master's house and your master's wives into
your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and
Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would
have given you much more! Why have you
despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil
in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite
with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your
wife, and have killed him with the sword of the
people of Ammon. Now therefore, the sword shall

44
never depart from your house, because you have
despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the
Hittite to be your wife.' Thus says the Lord:
'Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from
your own house; and I will take your wives before
your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he
shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing
before all Israel, before the sun.'" (NKJV)

Never take the favour of God Almighty for granted.

Jesus Christ our Lord with a tremendous anointing
and favour from God Almighty did not abuse this
blessing. Even though He is the Son of God Almighty,
He absolutely submitted to the will of the Father.
Luke 22:41-42 And He was withdrawn from them
about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and
prayed, saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this
cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but
Yours, be done."(NKJV) In conclusion, every man
or woman, who desires to succeed with ease, whether
he or she is in ministry, in business, in academics etc,
the key is the favour of God Almighty. This is what
makes the difference between the successful and the
strugglers in life.
Romans 9:16 ‘For He says to Moses, "I will have
mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will

45
have compassion on whomever I will have
compassion." So then it is not of him, who wills, nor
of him who runs, but of God who shows
mercy.(NKJV)

And the greatest favour of God Almighty that any

man can receive is knowing God Almighty, as the
One who raised Jesus Christ from the dead, for
whosoever claims to raise Jesus Christ from the dead
is God Almighty: Acts 2:32 This Jesus has God
raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. (KJV)
YHWH The Father raised Jesus Christ from the dead,
therefore He is God Almighty: Galatians 1:1 Paul,
an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by
Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised Him
from the dead;) (KJV)
The Holy Spirit raised Jesus Christ from the dead,
therefore He is God Almighty: Romans 8:11 But if
the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the
dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from
the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by
His Spirit that dwelleth in you. (KJV)
Jesus Christ raised Himself from the dead, therefore
He is God Almighty: John 2:19-22 19 Jesus
answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple,
and in three days I will raise it up. 20 Then said
the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in

46
building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21
But He spake of the temple of His body. 22 When
therefore He was risen from the dead, His
disciples remembered that He had said this unto
them; and they believed the scripture, and the
word which Jesus had said. (KJV)
John 10:17-18 17 Therefore doth my Father love
me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it
again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it
down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I
have power to take it again. This commandment
have I received of my Father. (KJV)
The Blood of Jesus Christ, The Blood of The Eternal
Covenant also raised Jesus Christ from the dead,
therefore He is God Almighty: Hebrews 13:20 Now
may the God of peace, who by the Blood of the
Eternal Covenant brought back from the dead our
Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep. (ISV)
Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that
brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that
great shepherd of the sheep, through the Blood of
the Everlasting Covenant. (KJV)

I see you manifesting the favour of God Almighty

from this moment and forever in the precious name of
Jesus.
