Good day. I am Ernese Marlei A. Palogan, and I am speaking to express my interest in the Financial
Accounting Specialist position at Deloitte. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and graduated with
Latin honors from Manuel S. Enverga University. I am a fresh graduate, having completed my degree last
year, took the CPA board exam six months later, and I am now a fully licensed Certified Public Accountant.
As an individual, I have always valued taking ownership of my responsibilities and practicing self-
discipline. These principles have shaped me into someone who considers responsibility not just a trait, but
a core value that every professional should embody. Even as a teenager, I was known for prioritizing my
commitments—I was the student who finished her assignments before anything else, recognizing early on
the importance of staying dedicated to my duties. This mindset has carried into my professional life. I take
deadlines seriously, uphold accuracy, and hold myself accountable in all aspects of my work. With strong
dedication and a consistent work ethic, I am confident that I have the qualities and abilities to contribute
positively to your team. I believe that true responsibility goes beyond completing tasks—for it also builds
trust and reliability. As an Accountancy graduate, I have developed a strong attention to detail over the
years, understanding that in this field, accuracy is essential to completing tasks with minimal to no errors.
The accounting profession revolves heavily around financial data and monetary transactions, which is why
I approach my work with integrity and precision. I am committed to honesty and will ensure the delivery
of accurate information and sound decision-making. Financial statements involve sensitive and confidential
information, and I am prepared to handle them with the highest level of competence and attention to detail.
I am also confident in my communication skills, which I have worked to improve over the years and have
seen steady progress. Although I am naturally timid and introverted, I am capable of expressing my thoughts
and concerns—especially when the situation calls for it. I can communicate effectively, both in writing and
verbally. This skill is highly beneficial, as effective communication is often said to be “the key”—and in
the workplace, it plays a vital role in completing tasks clearly and collaborating peacefully and efficiently
with colleagues. Additionally, I consider myself a good listener and an open-minded individual. I welcome
suggestions and constructive criticism, as I believe such feedback helps me identify areas for growth and
improve continuously as a professional.
Five years from now, I see myself working in the same company I am applying to today—only in a more
advanced role. By then, I envision myself as an established accountant who has grown into a leadership
position within the department—not just an employee, but someone who guides and inspires others through
experience, dedication, and confidence. The corporate environment has always been my dream, and I truly
believe this is where I am meant to be. I see myself continuing in this field, analyzing financial data,
organizing critical documents, and making sound decisions. From the moment I chose Accountancy, I
committed myself to building a long-term career in finance. In five years, I hope to be recognized for my
accounting expertise and deep knowledge of the profession. I aim to be one of the employees who has
