assessing competency and application skills.

1. Real Numbers (6 Marks)

• 1 Mark (MCQ/AR): HCF & LCM, Rational/Irrational numbers.

• 2 Marks (VSA): Proving irrationality (2, 3, etc.).
• 3 Marks (SA): Word problems on HCF/LCM.

2. Algebra (20 Marks)

• Polynomials: Finding zeroes from graphs, relationship between zeroes and coefficients.
• Pair of Linear Equations: Conditions for consistency, solving by
substitution/elimination, and word problems (age, fractions, etc.) often in case studies.
• Quadratic Equations: Nature of roots, solving equations, and complex word problems
(speed, time, etc.).
• Arithmetic Progressions: Finding nth term/sum, and application-based word problems.

3. Coordinate Geometry (6 Marks)

• 1 Mark (MCQ): Distance formula, section formula (mid-point).

• 2-3 Marks (VSA/SA): Application of section formula, finding ratios.

• Triangles: Similarity criteria, proofs of theorems (BPT, Pythagoras), and application

problems.
• Circles: Properties of tangents, proofs of theorems related to tangents.

5. Trigonometry (12 Marks)

• Introduction to Trigonometry: Ratios of specific angles, proving identities.

• Heights and Distances: Problems on angles of elevation/depression (max. two right
triangles), often as case studies.

6. Mensuration (10 Marks)

• Areas Related to Circles: Area of sectors, segments, and shaded regions.

• Surface Areas and Volumes: Conversion of solids, and finding volume/surface area of
combined solids.
