2. Mary, the shopkeeper sold biscuits at a school canteen in Masindi. The biscuits were packed in
boxes to make her shop neat. One day she returned to her shop from a one week workshop in
Kampala city and realized that a certain insect [insect A provided] had eaten her boxes and also
the biscuits. She felt sad for her loss but didn’t know what to do next. She consulted a Village
Health Team who informed her that insects like cockroaches, houseflies, mosquitoes and bees are
important to humans even if they are also harmful to them.
