NATIONAL READING DAY

National Reading Day was observed on 20th June with variety of
activities The message “READ AND GROW” was propagated among
the students.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY


“Creating peace of mind, calmness, confidence, and courage provide all of us
with a more profound way of living. Yoga is a state of harmony and union at
every level of existence.”
A special assembly in connection with International Yoga day and World music
day was celebrated to spread various benefits of Practising Yoga Daily, effects
on the health of individuals and to encourage musicians.

The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.


Taking pledge in the morning assembly to spread awareness about the physical
and psychological impact of substance abuse, drug overdose deaths, and drugs-
related problems across the globe.

National Doctors Day


A special programme was organized by our KG teachers to create awareness
and educate our children about the importance of oral health and to ensure one’s
good health and safety and to raise awareness about the role, and importance of
doctors in our lives,

SPIC MACAY
Vidyalaya hosted Spic Macay on July 7-An awareness towards indigenous and
international culture. Kathakali Lecture demo was performed by Kalamandalam
M P S Namboothiri and team.

GURU POORNIMA
“There is no deity superior to the Guru, no gain better than the Guru’s grace …
no state higher than a meditation on the Guru”•
Gurupurnima was celebrated on 13 July to offer our reverence to the Guru
Parampara. Guru paduka puja was done by Ravi Sir. It created a sense of
divinity in the young minds.

THE INVESTITURE CEREMONY


“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life”
A school prefectorial board was formed after scrutinous interviewing and
selection to inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and to give them a
feel of functioning of the administration .Investiture Ceremony for the academic
year 2022-23 was held on 21th of July 2022. The chief guest for the event was
Mr. Satheesh, Circle inspector of excise, Palakkad.

ADVANCED CHINMAYA VISION PROGRAM:- A new turning point in our


life._
Advanced Chinmaya Vision Programme by CCMT was inaugurated
by HH Swami Aseshanandaji. Teachers stayed updated on the latest
methods of teaching processes and enlightened their mind in the
Orientation class conducted by SwamiAnukoolandaji,smt.Santhi
Krishnamurthy,Smt.Rajeshwari and Smt.Meena Sriram. It has given a
divine strength for all the faculty members to sail together facing all
the challenges with a smile.

LITERARY MEET

LITERARY MEETfor the year 2022-23, held on 29.7.22 AND 30.7.22Support


in promotion of literature among the literary minds of the students,

Headmistress,Mrs.Sheeja N.We are thankful to our Management for their
continuous support and encouragement which is a great motivation..All the

Celebration, the ceremony was addressed by chief guest Mr K Mohandas(Rtd.

SEVA ACTIVITY-
Visiting the old age home is a life changing experience as it is a mixture of
emotions and sentiments . Children of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Pallavur ( Sanskriti
club members) got an opportunity to serve them. They learned valuable lessons
, a promise to hold the hands of their parents who once held them tightly. A
promise that they would never abandon their parents when they grew old..

SANSKRIT WEEK CELEBRATION
-Sankrit Exhibition was inaugurated by Swami Mukundh Chaintany to promote
the importance of our most ancient and classic language ,our children presented
various programs which emphasised the importance of Sanskrit.Dance, group
song in sanskrit,speech,recitation were all performed by our students.

Cultural fest
Cultural fest was conducted on 25th and 26th August-A platform for students to
showcase their hidden talents.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY.


To mark Major Dhyan Chand(a field hockey player birthday) The celebration is
to honor the sporting legend and create awareness about the importance of
sporting activities in everyday life, with a focus on fitness and health.

ONAM Celebration 2022-23 held on 2nd September.


Onam celebration brought out warmth and charm of our culture and traditions.
A colorful Floral Decoration was made by our teachers in the school premise.
POOKKALAM with vegetables designed by the students was the center of
attraction. Special assembly was held on the eve of Onam with various
activities. House wise FLORAL DESIGN competition was also taken place.
Students enjoyed delicious Ona Sadhya with friends and teachers.
Hindi Diwas celebration.
HINDI KA MAHATV was organized by Hindi Department on Hindi Diwas.
Students performed variety of activities in the Special assembly. Nutkad Natak
by Class VIII students was quite amazing On the occasion of the day, many
programs such as dance,drama and speech were conducted to raise awareness
among the younger generation and to promote the language and its usage across
the nation.
MATHRU POOJA.....
THE MOTHER’S HEART IS THE CHILD’S CLASSROOM”
No one in our life will ever love us as our mother does. There is no love as pure,
unconditional and strong as a mother’s love. In order to sow the seeds of
parental respect towards every child’s mother, “Mathru Pooja” is a way to
induce love and respect to their mother. It is based on the concept of paying our
respect to our mother whom our culture sees as a representation of Devi.Our
Archarya H.H Swami Aseshanandaji graced the auspicious occasion.
Manava seva Madhava seva
As a part of Seva activity our children collected an amount for relief fund to a
person who is under medication, was given by the head boy and head girl in the
presence of Swami, Principal, and Chief Sevak.

We bagged the second Prize * winners* ----- Gokul Rajesh and Abhiram of
class 9B.Congratulations to the winners and the participants too.

SCIENCE WEEK CELEBRATION


To encourage an interest in science pursuits among the students and to
encourage younger mind to be fascinated by the world we live in.
In connection with Science week various class wise activities such as
Fancy dress competition, handprint, pick and talk, rangoli competition , Space
quiz and assembly presentation on various topics such as Information Tech,
Robotics, Bio diversity and amazing facts of science etc were conducted by
Science department faculties.
English Week
English Week was conducted from 14th November to 17th November. An array
of activities like – Fairy World, Recitation, Western dance, Action Song and
Skit was conducted to enhance confidence and competence of the students.

Pie Day

Department of Mathematics organized Pi Day to make the students recognize


the mathematical expression- . Children got involved in many activities
connected to it. Class 11 students released the magazine YUGANTA to
highlight the importance of the day.

Kerala Piravi celebration...


As a part of Kerala Piravi, Malayalam Department organized a
unique programme ‘PAITHRIKAM 2022’. Formation of Kerala Map
by the students is the highlight of the event. The students organized an
exhibition, “PRATHARSANA SHILPA SHALA” which was a
unique collection of antiques used by the people of Kerala in different
periods. It was witnessed by the children of other nearby schools as
well.

Kalabharathi – Door to the world of Art


Our buddy artists presented art and craft exhibition under the
guidance of our Art teacher Mr. Dinesh. Splashes of vibrant hues,
different types of paintings, sketched portraits, paper flowers brought
out the best creativity of our students.

Sports Day – ABHYUDHAY


46th Annual Sports Meet was held on 11.11.2022 and 12.11.2022 for
Primary and Secondary level. It was inaugurated by Mr. AnilKumar
DYSP Narcotic Cell Palakkad and Ms. Vishnu Priya, National athletic
Championship Gold Medalist. Number of students participated in the
track and field events and prizes were distributed to the winners.

Alumni Association

Our alumni are resources who provide beneficial relationship with us


over time. Vidyalaya Alumni Association was formed in May 2012
consisted of Mr. Vinay Kumar – President, Mr. Santhosh Velayudhan
Secretary, Mr. Sreeram – Treasurer, Mr. Roopesh – Founder member
and other team members. They are our most loyal supporters who
give us constant support and guidance in times of need.
Eye Checkup Camp
An eye checkup camp was organized for 2 days in November by a
team of eye specialists from Trinity Eye care Centre. Students of all
classes had an opportunity to detect eye ailments in its early stage.
Attendees with eye problems were given referral slips.
Aradhana Day
Aradhana Day was observed on 3 August by the teaching& non-
teaching staff with utmost reverence. Chinmaya Ashtothara Archana
and Bhajans were chanted. As it was a holiday due to heavy rain,
children were not able to attend the function. The principal shared the
teachers about his experience with Swamy Chinmayananda
Gita Discourse by Br. Mukunda Chaithanyaji

In the five-day long spiritual class held in two phases from 14 th to 18th
June and from 22nd to 26th August, Swamiji made it clear how we can
attain the goal of life and how Bhagavad Gita paved way to find out
the solution for our problems.

Ramayana Month’ is dedicated to reading the Ramayana and


following other religious rituals. Our Vidyalaya children and teachers
read ‘Eka Sloka Ramayana’ each day. Drawing, Painting and
Ramayana Quiz competition were conducted in this holy month.
Our Krishnettan (President, CV Pallavur) donated around 50 books to
Library…..yesterday

Nalla Padam Project


we channelize our students’ energy into the world of charity,
compassion, love, respect and constructive ideas through NALLA
PADAM project initiated by Malayala Manorama.
Students were taken to the nearby paddy field in an attempt to teach
them the value of agriculture
Students of Eco Club set up NAKSHATRA GARDEN by planting
the saplings in the Vidyalaya premise.

Navratri festival was celebrated by arranging “Bommakolu” in the


Vidyalaya. All these nine days “Mahishasura Mardini Sthothram”
was chanted.
Balvihar classes are held on 1st and 3rd Saturdays for LP section which
make the children understand our precious culture, spiritual wisdom
and values through stories, games, crafts, bhajans and hymns.

CHYK classes on every Thursday help our youngsters to develop


logical thinking and shape their character and strengthen their
convictions

ANGLISTA 2K22 by Sahodaya Complex Palakkad-English Participated and
won First Runner up Trophy
Kindergarten Annual Day
Shishuvatika Chinmaya Pallavur celebrated the Kindergarten Annual Day on
20.12.2022 with great pomp and splendour. The theme of the celebration was
‘Jaagaranam’The Chief Guest for the day was Padmasree Guru Kalamandalam
Sivan Namboothiri.
Annual day was held on 23rd Dec 2022.
AnnuaEsteemed guest of the day was Sri Viji Thampi- Renowned film
director,guest of honour Sri Suresh M.P circle excise inspector,Chittur,Members
of Alumni association, in the esteemed presence of Our Chief Sevak
Mr.Velsamy,Ms.Deepa Menon Principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya
Tattamangalam and Ms.Nisha, principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kollengode.

Millet food festival


In connection with International Millet Day,Millet food festival was organised
to raise awareness about importance of millets,To create greater awareness of
millet, it contribute to food security, nutrition, ensuring livelihoods and
incomes of farmers Children exhibited variety of food items made up of
various millets.Everyone shared and enjoyed the food festived

SHISHU VATIKA...Grand parents day


Grand parents day was celebrated on 21st January with various activities.To
honor grandparents for their contribution to our lives and to give grandparents
an opportunity to show love for their children’s children.To recognize the
special relationships between grandparents and their grandchildren.
Grandparents are often a source of wisdom, comfort, and support for their
grandchildren, and they play an important role in passing down family traditions
and values.

AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV


75th Independence Day was celebrated which is themed as AZADI KA AMRIT
MAHOTSAV with great enthusiasm on 15 August. A sense of pride and
happiness could be seen on the faces of the students on watching flag hoisting
and March past. The students hoisted National Flags at home following ‘Hur
Gur Tiranga.
Teachers Day
On Teachers’ Day students of Class XII played the role of teachers which
recollected the contributions of the teachers in shaping up their lives. They
designed Greeting Cards for the teachers with due respect.
Ozone Day
Ozone day was celebrated on 16 September. Children spread awareness about
the Ozone depletion through various activities.
Children’s Day
Children are the beautiful flowers of the school garden. We celebrated the
Children’s Day on the Jayanti of Chacha Nehru, November 14. Our teachers
entertained the students with variety of programs including games, dance, skit
and music.
Christmas
On the eve of Christmas, Vidyalaya wore a festive look with bells, streamers
and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The delightful celebration included
out tiny tots visiting the class rooms with their red and white dress singing
jingle bells.

Morning Assembly
With the aim of developing confidence and self esteem in maximum number of
students morning assembly is conducted regularly with speeches on topics that
give special emphasis on the ethnic, cultural, and religious plurality of India.
Regular Chanting of Ganesha Pancharatna and Hanuman Chalisa by the
students class wise sprinkles spirituality in young minds.
Clubs
Students are provided with plenty of opportunities to enhance their skill through
15 different club activities such as Literary club, Reading Club, Dance Club,
Kalari, Karate, Band, IT, Mathematics club, Science club, Art club, Eco club,
Heritage club, Samskriti Club, Health and Wellness Club and Music Club
which is being held on Tuesdays. CCA activities are also held on every
Thursday.
Library
Our Vidyalaya library plays a vital role in developing the reading skill. Students
are encouraged to develop their reading habit by honouring them with BEST
READER OF THE MONTH award. Books are donated by the students to the
library on the occasion of birthday
Sports Achievements
Master Sreelal of class 4 secured the fifth position in Simultaneous Chess Match
organized by CHESS THRISSUR.
Master Aryan of class 10 secured III position in Sahodaya Chess tournament
held at MES Pattambi.
Our football team entered the final after defeating Salom by 7-0 in Sahodaya
Zonal level tournament held in Sobha Academy- Vadakkencherry. Master
Akash scored 8 goals and was awarded as THE MAN OF THE MATCH.

As a part of National Sports Day, a Volley ball competition was organised


between students of classes IX-XII and teachers of our Vidyalaya to create a
healthy rapport between students and staff. A marathon race, competitions in
chess and skipping were also held on the same day.
Kumari Sreehridya and Master P. Navaneetha Krishnan participated in Power
Quiz organized by KSEB Officers Association and won the first and second
prize respectively.

Gokul Rajesh, Abiram S and Rahul Suresh Hrishikesh took part in Indian
Heritage Quiz held in district level and bagged the second and fourth positions
respectively.
Master Gokul Rajesh and Master Abhiram Subramanian of class IX won 3rd
prize in Quiz competition conducted by A I W C Palakkad on “National
Integration and Communal Harmony”.
Master Vineeth K of class 12 secured First position in Malayalam-Note of
Relish
Kumari Jaimol of class 12 has set 6 records including 3 World Records for
sketching the largest portrait of Jesus Christ measuring 12.5 feet long and 5 feet
wide in 10 hours.

Scholarship

Eight of our students were offered scholarship by CMECT and four students got
financial aid by CCMT following the norms and terms.

Vidyagopalamanthrarchana....

Seva Activity :-Customs and traditions – duty to repay the world for what we
receive.
As a part of CHYK Club activity children were asked to bring selected items
given for each class. CHYK club students collected the items from each class
and stored. On 24 th August Three teachers and the 32 club members visited an
old age ( Pavithram Charitable Trust) home at Nenmara, Palakkad. Children
entertained the grandparents there. All were happy and one of the members of
Old age home told about the merits of Seva and qualities to the students.
Donating Payasam Kit to farmers as Onam Gift.
Ganith pathrika
Master Vaishnav K, Kumari Sheethal and Kumari Gayathri of Class XI
contributed articles to the Journal, “Ganita Patrika” a journal by CCMT ,which
was released by Dr. Joseph Emmanuel Director, CBSE Academics New Delhi.
Our vidyalaya is the only representation in Palakkad district
Geetha chanting
District level Geetha Chanting Competition was held on 10 December in which
Navya P, Vineeth K and Rudraksh Ramesh participated and won the first,
Second and Third positions respectively.

Cultural fest
A team of 84 students enrolled in different activities in different levels in
Sahodaya Music and Cultural Meet and bagged prizes in many events.

NAADAM music competition was held in Chitoor in which Kumari Nandana of


class XI secured First prize in classical music. Master Niranjan and Kumari
Smiriti of class IX got third prize in Film song and Light music. Kumari
Thushara of class VII won the Second prize in Classical music.

SRESHTA BHARATHAM
A team of 5 students participated in SRESHTA BHARATHAM , an Amrita TV
programme which is an eye opener to the students towards our Epics and
Puranas.
Best All Rounder Award
Apart from the academic awards, it has been decided to honor the best all-
rounder with prize money of 6000 by Sri Velsamy Sankar sir – Chief Sevak of
CMECT based on the performance of the student in studies, extracurricular
activities, regularity and participation in social and cultural events.
Sadgamaya
The short film “SADGAMAYA” which was enacted by our children and
directed by one of our Malayalam teacher,Padmapriya, was selected and ranked
one among the first 10 positions out of 300 nominations....They were honoured
for the same by
BARISH AAYA CHAM CHAM!

Our tiny tots enjoyed the walk around the school campus on a rainy day holding
their beautiful and colourful umbrellas. They listened to the sounds of rain
drops, sang songs jumped in the muddy puddles and had a wonderful
experience.

BLUE OCEAN DAY

Ocean day was celebrated by our KG department on June 8th. All children came
up in blue coloured costumes. Awareness about the life of underwater animals
was given.

SREEKRISHNA JANMASTAMI

Birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated by our Tiny Tots with great
enthusiasm. Boys dressed up as little Krishna and girls as Radha. Little Krishnas
and Radhas danced together. Bhajans and prayers were sung. Lots of games
were organized. Prasad was distributed to all children.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated by our KG children by lighting


diyas. Children came beautifully dressed up in traditional costumes. They
brought homemade sweets and shared it with their friends and teachers.

VEGETABLE DAY
A day was celebrated to develop the habit of eating healthy food including
vegetables in their diet. Children brought different vegetables. Vegetable salad
was made and distributed. To create an awareness to make a vegetable garden at
their home, seeds were distributed. Children planted the seeds and brought the
fresh vegetables from their garden and donated it to school canteen.

SWACH BHARATH

Swatch bharath diwas was organized by Shishuvatika. Children walked around


the campus and removed all the plastic waste lying around. It created an
awareness to keep their home, school and surroundings clean and not to throw
waste here and there.

PONGAL-O- PONGAL

The harvest festival pongal was celebrated by the KG department. Children


came dressed up in traditional costumes. The importance of the day was
explained to children. Colourful rangoli was made and pongal dish was
prepared and distributed to all.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas was celebrated in a very joyful way with lots of fun and energy by
our tiny tots. Classrooms were decorated with stars and a crib was arranged. All
children and teachers dressed up in red costumes and along with Santa clause
took a walk around the campus singing Jingle bells and wishing everyone Merry
Christmas and Happy New Year.
