1. A shopkeeper bought an article from a dealer at Rs 1000. He sold it to the customer at Rs
1200. If the rate of GST is 12%, then the amount paid by the customer to buy the item is ?
2. An article is bought by a dealer at Rs 15,000. A dealer sells it to a consumer at 10% profit.
If the rate of GST is 12% find :
(i) the selling price (Excluding tax) [Rs 16,500]
(ii) the amount of tax (GST) [Rs 1980]
(iii) the total amount paid by the consumer
3. The price of a bicycle is Rs 3,136 inclusive of tax (under GST) at the rate of 12% on its listed
price. A buyer asks for a discount on the listed price so that after charging GST, the selling
price becomes equal to the listed price. Find the amount of discount which the seller has
to allow for the deal. [Rs 3000]
4. Priyanka has a recurring deposit account of Rs 1000 per month at 10% per
annum. If she gets Rs 5550 as interest at the time of maturity, find the total
time for which the account was hold.
5. Anupam has a recurring deposit account in a bank of Rs 2000 per month at
the rate of 10 % per annum. At the time of maturity he receives Rs 83100. Find the time for
which account was held ?
6. Monika has a recurring deposit account in a bank. He deposits Rs 2500 per
month for 2 years. If he gets Rs 66250 at the time of maturity find :-
(a) the interest paid by the bank (b) the rate of interest

roots, find the value of k.
13. Mohan takes 16 days less than Manoj to do a piece of work. If both working together can
do it in 15 days, in how many days will Mohan alone complete the work.
14. A cloth piece, x meter long was bought for Rs 2000. If (x + 5) meter long cloth were bought
for the same price the cost per metre would have been Rs 20 less. Calculate the length of
cloth piece and its original rate per metre.

15. A bus covers a distance of 240 km at a uniform speed. Due to heavy rain its speed gets
reduced by 10 km/h as such it takes two hours longer to cover the total distance. Assuming
the uniform speed to be x km/h form an equation and solve it for x.
16. Using the graph, plot the points A (6,4) and B(0,4).
(A) Reflect A and B in the origin to get the images A’ and B’.
(B) Write the co-ordinates of A’ and B’.
(C) State the geometrical name for the figure ABA’B’.
(D) Find its perimeter.
17. Use graph paper for this question. Take1 cm = 1 unit along both x and y-axis.

eyes of the girl at any instant is 60 o . After sometime the angle of elevation
reduces to 30o. Find the distance travelled by the balloon during the interval.
