2 EXHAUST AIR FANS FOR BASEMENT VENTILATION
Supplying, installing, testing and commissioning of smoke spill fans. Fan,
casing, motor, drive shall be suitable for smoke exhaust application &
thermally rated for 250ºC for 2 hours as per [BS-7346 Part-2 : 1090] Class-B.
Motors shall be High Temperature resistance smoke venting type suitable for
415+10% volts, 50 cycles , 3 phase AC supply with IP 55 protection, static
pressure shall be as indicated. Each fan shall be with TEFC squirrel cage

Supply of Induced Air Axial Jet fans. Fan shall be AMCA certified for Air &
Sound performance, balanced to vibration grade of G2.5 as per AMCA 204. Fan
shall be complete with GSS casing ( 220 GSM ), Aluminium impeller, Motor
Class H, special rated motor certified for 250 Deg C for 2 Hrs - 415/3P/50Hz.
Inlet & outlet attenuators , inlet & outlet protection net. Complete assembly
shall be certified for 250 Deg C for 2 Hrs. fire rating as per BS 7346 Part 2:
1990 Class B or EN 12101-3 & the copy of the Fire-test report has to be
submitted for the approval.The Locationing of the jet fans has to be done in
such a way that the Air velocity at any point on the plane of 1m from the
ground level should not be less than 0.25m/s during the normal mode.
These fans shall operate at low speed during Normal mode & at high speed
during fire mode.

C SECTION-III HVAC RELATED ELECTRICAL WORKS
PLC CUM CONTROL PANEL
22 Supply, Installation & Commissioning of BMS compatible power and control
panel with all necessary control logics and software for basement floor
Note:
The PLC panel shall operate the main exhaust fans (normal & fire mode) based
on the signal from CO sensor. During a CO SENSOR signal for 30-90 ppm (i.e
polution mode) the normal mode fans shall operate and at 100 ppm and
above and smoke mode (i.e fire mode) or during emergency the fire mode
exhaust fans shall operate along with the normal mode fans. Otherwise the
entire system i.e jet fans,normal mode fans shall run on a timer based system
(say 5min per hour) in order to remove the stale air, the setting should be
adjustable by the operator at site. The PLC panel should have the provision of
hooking up the panel with the fire alarm / fire fighting panel in case of
emergecny. The PLC panel should have the provision for monitoring the whole
system through BMS.
PLC Panel to include the starter panel for all the jet fans & axial fans with
DOL/Star Delta starter of required capacity for the respective ventilation zone,
incoming switch gear, overload relay , control accessories like Elmex
connectors, ferrules etc. with ON/OFF push button & indicating lamps
(ON/OFF/TRIP), facility of control wiring for remote operation. Also potential
free contacts to be provided for BMS. The panels to be designed considering
'Type 2' coordination.
PLC panel should send the fire alarm signal to the respective control panels of
the motorised fire damper of the affected zones.

with brass washers, rubber rings complete erected with cable ends leads
including supply and erecting crimping type Cu/Al lugs confirming to IS
suitable for cables evenly crimped with high pressure tools and connected to
switch gear terminal with brass or cadmium plated nut bolt in an approved
manner.
Terminations to be carried out with double compression brass glands and
suitable lugs / ferrules.
