Duties of Students

Students are the future leaders and builders of a nation. Their main duty is to
acquire knowledge and build their character. But along with learning, they also
have some responsibilities towards their family, society, and country.
The first and foremost duty of a student is to study seriously. They should attend
classes regularly, follow teachers' instructions, and prepare lessons properly.
Without proper education, a student cannot become a responsible citizen. Besides
education, students should develop moral values like honesty, respect, discipline,
and kindness. These qualities help them become good human beings.
Students also have a duty towards their parents. They must respect and obey their
parents and help them in household work when necessary. In school, they should
maintain discipline, show good behavior, and help classmates when needed.
In society, students should be active in creating awareness about cleanliness, tree
plantation, helping the poor, and preventing corruption. During natural disasters like
floods or cyclones, students can volunteer to help affected people.
Students have an important duty towards the country. They should learn about their
country's history, culture, and national heroes. They must develop patriotism and be
ready to serve the country when needed. Taking part in national events, respecting
the flag, and observing national days are also parts of their duty.
In short, the duty of students is not limited to books only. Along with gaining
knowledge, they should grow as responsible, disciplined, and patriotic citizens. By
performing their duties properly, students can play a vital role in building a
prosperous and peaceful Bangladesh.

A Village Market
A village market is an important part of rural life. It is a place where villagers buy
and sell daily necessities, agricultural products, and household items. It is not only a
center of trade but also a place where people meet, talk, and share their joys and
sorrows. A village market plays a significant role in the social and economic life of
the villagers.
Usually, a village market is held once or twice a week in an open field or near a
river, canal, or road. It is often located in a convenient place where villagers from
nearby areas can gather easily. There are two types of village markets—daily
markets and weekly markets, locally known as "bazaar" and "haat." The haat is
usually more crowded and colorful.
In a village market, shops are temporary and made of bamboo and straw. Sellers sit
on the ground with their goods spread out before them. Farmers bring vegetables,
fruits, rice, lentils, milk, eggs, and other fresh produce. Fishermen sell fish, and
craftsmen offer tools, clothes, and earthen pots. There is also a section for cattle,
hens, ducks, and goats. Buyers move from stall to stall, bargaining with the sellers.
The village market is always full of life and activity. It starts in the morning and
continues till evening. The place becomes very crowded, especially in the
afternoon. The noise of buyers and sellers, the cries of hawkers, and the laughter of

children create a lively atmosphere. It is also a meeting place for villagers to catch
up on news and gossip.
However, a village market also has some disadvantages. It is often untidy and lacks
proper sanitation. There is no fixed price, so buyers must be careful not to be
cheated.
In conclusion, a village market is an essential part of rural Bangladesh. It supports
the village economy, brings people together, and reflects the traditional lifestyle of
the rural people. With some improvements in cleanliness and management, it can
become even more useful and enjoyable for everyone.

The Value of Time

Time is one of the most valuable resources in human life. It is often said, “Time and
tide wait for none.” This proverb reminds us that time is always moving forward,
and once lost, it can never be regained. Unlike money or material possessions, time
cannot be stored, borrowed, or bought. That is why we must learn to use it wisely.
Every person in the world gets the same amount of time in a day—24 hours. How
we use that time determines our success and failure. A student who values time
studies regularly and performs well in exams. A farmer who uses his time properly
can grow more crops. Similarly, a worker who is punctual gains the trust of his
employer. Time, therefore, plays a major role in every aspect of life.
Wasting time is one of the greatest mistakes a person can make. Many people waste
their time on unnecessary things like gossip, laziness, or mobile games. Later, they
regret not using their time properly. Time once gone cannot be brought back, no
matter how much money or effort is spent.
Time teaches us discipline, responsibility, and the importance of planning. Great
men and women of history achieved success because they understood the value of
time. They made schedules, set goals, and worked hard without wasting a single
moment.
To make the best use of time, one should develop good habits like waking up early,
making a daily routine, and avoiding procrastination. We should give proper time to
study, work, rest, and even recreation. Balance in time management leads to a
successful and peaceful life.
In conclusion, time is more precious than gold. Those who respect time are
respected by others and are more likely to reach their goals. We should never take
time for granted. Every moment is a chance to do something meaningful. If we use
our time wisely, our future will be bright and full of success.

The Person I Like Most

Among all the people I have met in my life, the person I like most is my English
teacher, Mr. Rahman. He is more than just a teacher to me—he is a guide, a mentor,
and a source of inspiration. He teaches us in class nine and ten. His way of teaching
and caring attitude has made a deep impression on me.

Mr. Rahman is about 40 years old. He is tall, smart, and always well-dressed. He
has a friendly smile on his face that makes students feel comfortable and confident.
He speaks clearly and explains lessons in such an easy and interesting way that
even the weakest student can understand. He always encourages us to ask questions
and think critically.
What I like most about him is his sincerity and dedication. He never misses a class
and always comes prepared. He checks our homework regularly and gives helpful
feedback. He is strict about discipline, but never rude. He believes in building a
strong moral character in students. He often tells us stories about honesty, kindness,
and patriotism.
Outside the classroom, he is equally kind and helpful. He helps poor students with
books and tuition. He often organizes extra classes before exams without charging
any money. He also arranges debates and cultural programs to develop our talents.
He treats every student equally and never shows any favoritism.
Mr. Rahman is respected not only by students but also by parents and other
teachers. His simple lifestyle, polite behavior, and strong principles make him a role
model for everyone. Because of him, I have developed a great interest in English
and improved a lot in both speaking and writing.
In conclusion, Mr. Rahman is not only the best teacher I have ever had but also the
person I admire and like the most. He has a great influence on my life and future. I
want to follow his path and become a good human being like him. Such teachers are
rare and truly valuable in our society.

The Necessity of Tree Plantation

Tree plantation is one of the most important activities for protecting our
environment and ensuring a better future. Trees are a vital part of nature. They give
us oxygen, food, shelter, medicine, and many other things necessary for our life. In
today’s world, where deforestation is happening rapidly, the necessity of planting
trees has become more urgent than ever before.
Trees play a key role in maintaining the balance of nature. They absorb carbon
dioxide and release oxygen, which we need to breathe. They help in controlling air
pollution, reducing the temperature, and bringing rain. The roots of trees bind the
soil and prevent erosion. They also protect us from floods, droughts, and storms.
Forests act as a natural shield against natural disasters.
Tree plantation is also important for economic reasons. Trees provide timber, fruits,
rubber, and fuel. Many people earn their living by selling wood, fruits, and herbal
products. Moreover, trees offer shade and beauty. Parks, gardens, and roadsides full
of trees create a peaceful and healthy environment.
Unfortunately, people are cutting down trees in large numbers for housing, farming,
and industrial use. As a result, the world is facing serious environmental problems
like global warming, desertification, and loss of biodiversity. To fight these
problems, tree plantation must be taken seriously at both personal and national
levels.

We should plant trees in schools, colleges, roadsides, riverbanks, and all unused
lands. The government and non-government organizations should take steps to
create awareness among people about the importance of trees. Students can play a
big role by taking part in tree plantation campaigns and motivating others.
In conclusion, the necessity of tree plantation cannot be ignored. Our survival
depends on trees in many ways. If we want to make the earth a better place for
ourselves and future generations, we must plant more trees and take care of them. It
is our duty to protect nature and live in harmony with it.

The Game I Like Most – Football

Games and sports are an important part of life. They keep our body fit, teach us
discipline, and help us learn teamwork. Among all the games, the one I like most is
football. It is not only exciting but also a great form of exercise. Football is popular
all over the world, and millions of people enjoy watching and playing it.
Football is played between two teams, each having eleven players. The main aim of
the game is to score goals by kicking the ball into the opponent's net. The team that
scores more goals wins the match. The game is full of energy, speed, and skill,
which makes it very interesting to both players and spectators.
I like football because it keeps me physically strong and mentally active. When I
play football, I feel fresh and happy. It helps improve my stamina, coordination, and
quick decision-making skills. Football is not a game of one person; it teaches
teamwork, cooperation, and discipline. Every player has to work together to win the
game.
I usually play football in the afternoon with my friends on the school field. We
make teams and play friendly matches. Sometimes, our school organizes inter-
school football tournaments, and I always take part in them. I try to follow famous
footballers like Messi and Ronaldo and learn from their style and techniques.
Besides playing, I also enjoy watching football matches on TV. International
tournaments like the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Champions League are very
exciting. I support Argentina and love watching their matches.
Football has taught me to never give up and to keep trying until the last minute. It
has helped me stay healthy and disciplined in life. It also gives me relief from stress
and refreshes my mind after study.
In conclusion, football is more than just a game to me. It is a passion, a source of
joy, and a way to stay fit and active. I believe every student should take part in
some kind of game, and for me, football is the best.
