Instructions

WINGS
Cut 2x on fold from main fabric
Cut 2x on fold from interfacing (H250) & 1x on fold from style-vil
Iron on interfacing on each side.
Sew style-vil onto 1 piece with basting stitch
Draw the blue line (= stitching line) on 1 piece in erasable ink or chalk.
Cut straps (from fold-over bias tape or from main fabric or other fabric)
-- Straps not from biais: fold in half lengthwise and sew along the seam.
Turn straps right sides out (using a straw and a stick - see Clara pattern).
Insert elastics: 1cm wide & 27cm long).
Sew elastic in place at the short ends
Baste the straps in place at the top and at the bottom on 1 pattern piece.
Don’t twist the straps!
Right sides together, sew all sides except the bottom in between the red
dotted marks. The straps are on the inside now.
Cut the seam allowance.
Fold right sides out through the hole at the bottom and push out the edges.
Topstitch along the side seams, closing the hole along the way and sew
along the middle and along the blue line indicated at the middle of each
wing.

WAND
Cut 2x from main fabric
Cut 2x from interfacing (H250) & 1x from style-vil
Iron on interfacing & sew style-vil onto 1 piece with basting stitch
Sew on 2 ties/ribbons of approx 15cm: 1 tie on each piece at the bottom, in
between the red marks at 7mm.
Right sides together, sew all sides except 3 cm at the bottom between the
red dotted marks.
Cut the seam allowance.
Fold right sides out through hole at the bottom and push out the edges.
Insert a small stick (possibly with a little ball or block glued on the top).
Topstitch along the side seams. At the bottom, sew as far as possible next
to the stick.
Tie the ties around the stick (with a little glue underneath if necessary).

CROWN
Cut 1x from main fabric
Cut 1x from lining

Cut 2x from interfacing (H250)
Iron on interfacing
Sew on 2 ties of approx. 32cm each, one on the left side and one on the
right (yellow marks on the pattern piece) at 7mm.
Right sides together, sew main fabric to lining, leaving a hole on one of the
side seams where you attached one of the ties.
Cut the seam allowance.
Fold right sides out through the hole and push out the edges.
Topstitch along the side seams (and optionally along the rest of the
seams).
