A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE WATER, SANITATION, AND HYGIENE (WASH)


PROGRAM TO PROMOTE CLEAN WATER ACCESS, PROPER SANITATION, AND
HYGIENE PRACTICES IN BARANGAY CAG-ANAHAW

WHEREAS, the Philippine Approach to Sustainable Sanitation


(PhATSS) and other national policies emphasize the importance of
safe water, improved sanitation, and proper hygiene practices to
achieve health, social, and economic goals;

WHEREAS, the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Social


Welfare and Development (DSWD), and other agencies have
implemented programs to improve sanitation coverage and ensure
access to clean water for communities;

WHEREAS, the Integrated WASH Program aims to provide marginalized


communities with access to potable water, improved sanitation
facilities, and hygiene education;

WHEREAS, Barangay Cag-Anahaw recognizes the urgent need to


implement sustainable sanitation and hygiene practices to prevent
diseases and improve the overall well-being of its residents;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, that


Barangay Cag-Anahaw formally adopts the Water, Sanitation, and
Hygiene (WASH) Program to ensure the following:

Provision of Clean Water Access – Establishment of safe and


potable water sources for all residents.

Improvement of Sanitation Facilities – Construction and


maintenance of sanitary toilets and waste management systems.

Promotion of Hygiene Practices – Conducting educational campaigns


on handwashing, proper waste disposal, and personal hygiene.

Community Participation – Encouraging active involvement of


residents in maintaining sanitation and hygiene standards.

Collaboration with Government Agencies – Coordinating with DOH,


DSWD, and other relevant institutions for technical and financial
support.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that this resolution be disseminated to all


concerned agencies and stakeholders for proper implementation and
monitoring.
