SCENE 1

FADE IN

INT. GAMBLING PLACE NIGHT

In a small, dimly lit room, with a small table in the centre,

ANDREW, a 28 y.o, man sits on a small chair, wearing a brown
flannel shirt and jeans. With a pile of money on the table and
some bottles of alcohol, he placed his own money on the table.

ANDREW
Alright, here is my last bet.
I’m sure I’ll win this time!
You can cry first before I get
all your money.

With three of his friends, they played Craps and bet a very high
amount of money. Zachary [appearance desc.], Nathan [appearance
des.], Aaron [appearance desc.]

ZACHARY
Nah, man. I’ll definitely win
this time and you’ll lose.

NATHAN
(Laugh)
Whatchu talking about? I’ll
beat y’all ass just like
yesterday.

AARON
Aight shut up.
(Takes a sip)
Whoever wins this final round
will live well for the next
few days.

Aaron, the shooter, reconfirmed each of their betting numbers

before he rolled the two dice in his hand.

AARON
Ok, let me get this clear
before I roll the dice. I’m 6,
Zach, you’re 3, Nate, you’re
7, and Andrew, you’re 10?
ZACHARY, NATHAN, and ANDREW
(TOGETHER)
Yes.

AARON
Ok. Let’s go!

Aaron rolled the two dice in his right hand. The first die with
the number 4 came out, followed by the die with the number 3.

AARON
Damn it’s 7!

Nathan won the game again for the third time.

NATHAN
(Shouting)
HELL YES!!!

Zachary, who was annoyed with the result, pounded on the table.

ZACHARY
FUCK!!

Nathan got up from his chair and raised both hands in

celebration of his victory.

NATHAN
(Pointing at Zachary)
I TOLD YOU!

NATHAN
(Pointing at Aaron)
I TOLD YOU!

NATHAN
(Pointing at Andrew)
I TOLD YOU!

Andrew, who had lost and run out of money for the next game,
made an annoyed face and wiped Nathan’s index finger out of his
face.

ANDREW
Get off my face! You're just
lucky!
Mocking Andrew, Nathan picked up the pile of money on the table.

NATHAN
Andrew my bro. Listen, it's
not luck any more if I manage
to win this game for three
times in a row.

ANDREW
Yeah, yeah, whatever, Nate.

NATHAN
Just accept it. I’m a God in
this game.

Aaron collects both dice on the table.

AARON
So, one more game?

Zachary, with a liquor bottle in his right hand, agreed with

Aaron.

ZACHARY
Let's go!

With a pile of money in front of him, Nathan agreed to continue

the game.

NATHAN
Well, if you guys want me to
win again...

Andrew, on the other hand, was still pensive about his defeat.

AARON
Andrew? Are you in?

Andrew with a lacklustre face answered Aaron's question.

ANDREW
Nah, I'll pass this time.

Everyone put on a disappointed face.

ZACHARY
Oh, c’mon man

NATHAN
C’mon, Andrew.
(With a little laugh)
Maybe you’ll win this time.

Andrew replied wistfully.

ANDREW
Nah, maybe next time.

Nathan asked Andrew again in a mocking tone.

NATHAN
Why though? Oh, I see. You ran
out of money?

Andrew replied in an annoyed tone.

ANDREW
I'M NOT! I'm just a bit tired.

Nathan laughed at Andrew's answer.

NATHAN
You know I can lend you some
money to play again.

Zachary supports Nathan's argument.

ZACHARY
Yeah, c'mon Andrew. You can
just give the money back if
you win.

Aaron, standing in front of the table with the dice in hand,

also supported Nathan’s argument.

AARON
Just accept Nate's offer, man.

Andrew replied listlessly.

ANDREW
Well, I'm done for today. I'm
going home early today.
Nathan teased Andrew for not wanting to play anymore.

NATHAN
Someone's being a coward I
see.

Andrew got up from his chair and spoke to

Nathan in an angry tone.

ANDREW
WHAT DID YOU SAY?! YOU WANNA
BEEF? C'MON! I'M IN THE MOOD
TO PUNCH SOMEONE IN THE FACE
RIGHT NOW!

Nathan replied in a mocking tone,

NATHAN
Whoo, I'm scared.

Aaron pulled Nathan and Andrew apart.

AARON
Cut it off, guys! Just place
your bets and let’s start the
game!

Zachary drunkenly chimed in.

ZACHARY
Yeah, guys. Let's start the
game.

Andrew, fed up with Nathan, got up from his

chair and decided to go home.

ANDREW
Well, I'll just go home. You
guys can continue the game
without me.

Aaron replied in a lazy tone.

AARON
Okay, whatever, man.
Andrew who had no more money left to play decided to leave the
room with an annoyed face and didn't say a word.
