SIMATIC S7 Programming 2 Course

ST-PRO2

Description/Objective:

On completion of this course the participant will be able to:-


Write advanced programs, use program breakpoints to test the operation of
the program and diagnose errors using the S7 software package on S7-300 or
S7-400 PLC's

Content

Aids for program creation (e.g. structure program)


Functions, function blocks and multi-instances (using the example of
the IEC timers/counters)
Jump commands and accumulator operations
Indirect addressing
Integration of a drive (MM420) via PROFIBUS DP
Monitoring and controlling the drive with the "Starter" software
Error handling with error organization blocks
Evaluating diagnostics data
Troubleshooting and messages with an HMI device (TP 177B)
Analog value processing

Requirements

SIMATIC S7 knowledge according to ST-PRO1 and practical experience in


using the knowledge.

Target group

This course is directed at Programmers, Commissioning Engineers,


Configuring Engineers, and other personnel engaged in project engineering
tasks who would like to become familiar with the extended programming
possibilities of SIMATIC S7.
