ADVANCED TECHNIQUES IN PYTHON

Date: 20-06-2025
Semester: 2nd semester Section: R
The primary objective of a Python workshop is to introduce participants to the Python
programming language and equip them with the fundamental skills needed to write
and execute Python code, often with a focus on specific applications like data science,
web development, or automation. Workshops typically aim to provide a solid
foundation in Python's syntax, data structures, control flow, and functions, along with
hands-on experience through practical exercises and projects.

Workshop started around 10:00 AM with a warm welcome given Dhruvitha K J

student inviting the dignitaries Dr. S Shanthala HOD, followed by the introducing the
guest speaker of the day Dr. Manjunatha P B, Assistant Professor AI & ML
department, after the welcome address, paying as a token of respect to the brave
mightier of Aircraft crash Ai – 171 12.06.2025.

A strength of 55 students with hands-on session was carried out in the lab.
The topics of the discussion was mainly carried out on Exploring, cleaning and model
building Data followed by Evaluation and Prediction.

The first session of the workshop was the on python libraries, function, techniques,
Concepts of deep copy vs shallow copy were clarified was carried out.The students
performed some of the python programs themselves from the handout examples
provided to them.

In the second half students a Tic Tac Toe game was developed using Python as an
introduction to game logic and basic GUI design. Students implemented the handout
programs provided to them before hand and had enough practice.

Topics Covered
1. Data Science Workflow
2. Python Libraries Introduced
3. Functions & Techniques
4. Project Application
5. Real-world AI Application
6. Python Game Development

At the end of the workshop students oral feedback was taken.

The workshop was highly beneficial in building a foundational understanding of how

Python can be applied in data science and AI. It provided hands-on exposure to real-
world techniques and encouraged us to explore beyond theory into practical
application development.

Outcome
In this hands-on course, students gained experience on Python programming and
its features. Students learnt the applications of various modules in Python

In essence, a Python workshop is designed to be an engaging and informative

introduction to the language, empowering participants with the skills and confidence
