Speech on NDA (National Defence Academy)
Good morning respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends,
Today, I feel honored to speak about one of the most prestigious institutions of our country — the National Defence
Academy, or NDA.
The National Defence Academy is located in Khadakwasla, near Pune, Maharashtra. It is the world’s first tri-service
military academy, where cadets of the Army, Navy, and Air Force train together before proceeding to their respective
academies for specialized training.
Founded in 1954, NDA is not just a training ground; it is the cradle of leadership, discipline, and patriotism. Only the brightest,
most committed young minds of the nation make it through the highly competitive NDA exam, conducted by the UPSC.
Once admitted, cadets undergo three years of rigorous physical, academic, and military training. Alongside subjects
like science, history, and technology, they are taught values like team spirit, brotherhood, and “service before self.”
The NDA’s motto is "Seva Paramo Dharma", which means Service Before Self. This isn’t just a phrase — it’s a way of life for
every NDA cadet. These cadets go on to become brave officers who lead from the front — in war, in peace, and in every crisis
our country faces.
From Captain Vikram Batra to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, many of India’s most decorated heroes have passed through
the gates of NDA. Their stories of courage and sacrifice inspire millions.
Let us salute the NDA and the future leaders of India who are molded there — ready to serve our nation with honor, discipline,
and bravery.
Thank you. Jai Hind!
🪖 2. Expanded Speech on IMA (Indian Military Academy)
A very good morning to everyone present here,
Today, I would like to speak about an institution that has given India some of its finest warriors and leaders — the Indian
Military Academy, also known as the IMA.
The IMA is situated in the beautiful city of Dehradun, at the foothills of the Himalayas. Established in 1932, it has been the
premier training ground for officers of the Indian Army for over nine decades.
Young men from every corner of India dream of wearing the olive green uniform. But only the best — in terms of intellect,
strength, and character — are selected to train at the IMA.
The life of a cadet at IMA is one of extreme discipline and dedication. They are taught leadership, ethics, military tactics,
weapon handling, and physical endurance. But more than anything, they are trained to put the nation before themselves.
The academy’s motto is “Veerta aur Vivek” — Valour and Wisdom. It reflects the kind of officer IMA aims to produce —
someone who is both courageous in battle and wise in judgment.
The Passing Out Parade at the IMA is one of the most inspiring sights. With heads held high and eyes filled with purpose, the
newly commissioned officers take their first step towards defending the country.
Officers from IMA have led India in wars, peacekeeping missions, and disaster relief operations. Many of them have made the
supreme sacrifice — and we remember them not just as soldiers, but as heroes of the nation.
Let us respect and be inspired by the Indian Military Academy and its contribution to the strength, security, and dignity of our
nation.
Jai Hind!
⚓ 3. Expanded Speech on INA (Indian Naval Academy)
Good morning to all gathered here,
It gives me immense pride to speak about a pillar of India’s military strength — the Indian Naval Academy, or INA.
Located at Ezhimala, Kerala, on the serene Malabar Coast, the INA is the largest naval academy in all of Asia. It is the
training ground for future officers of the Indian Navy, our country's guardians of the seas.
The INA trains cadets not just in physical and academic excellence but also in seamanship, navigation, naval warfare,
leadership, and strategy. Life at the Naval Academy is challenging. Cadets wake up before sunrise, march, swim, sail, and
study hard — all with the goal of defending the nation's maritime borders.
The motto of INA is "Shaurya, Gyan, Sankalp" — which means Courage, Knowledge, and Commitment. These three qualities
are essential for a naval officer who may have to sail across stormy oceans, defend the coastline, or take command of a
warship.
In today’s world, the Indian Navy plays a crucial role — not just in national defense but also in rescue missions,
international cooperation, and humanitarian relief. Naval officers trained at INA represent India on global waters and
bring pride to the Tricolour.
With advanced training ships, simulators, and cutting-edge facilities, the Indian Naval Academy ensures our navy remains one
of the most respected forces in the world.
Let us salute the INA and the brave officers it produces — those who sail silently, but whose courage roars across the seas.
Thank you. Jai Hind!
"Rise and Shine" Soldiers guard by land and sea,
So every child can grow up free.
Rise up with the morning sun,
In every heart, the tricolor flies,
A brand new day has just begun.
With every breath, our spirits rise.
With dreams to chase and goals to find,
Leave fear and doubts far behind. Let’s build a future, strong and fair,
With love, respect, and equal care.
Work with heart, and learn with grace,
I promise loud and true with pride,
Keep a smile upon your face.
Forever, India, I stand by your side.
Every step you take today,
Will guide you on your shining way.
So greet the world with open eyes, "सच्चा विद्यार्थी"
Aim for stars and touch the skies.
Believe in self — be bold, be kind,
For strength and courage live in your mind.
"My India, My Pride"
India, my land so bright,
Bathed in glory, truth, and light.
Mountains tall and rivers grand,
Every inch, my motherland.
