ALLIS

1. The Allis clamp is a surgical instrument with sharp teeth,


used to hold or grasp heavy tissue. It is also used to grasp
fascia and soft tissues such as breast or bowel tissue. Allis
clamps can cause damage, so they are often used in tissue
about to be removed.
BABCOCK

2. Babcock Forceps are ratcheted, finger ring, and non-perforating


forceps and are widely used to grasp delicate tissues during
surgical procedures. They are commonly used in laparotomy and
intestinal procedures.
MOSQUITO

3. Mosquito Forceps are used for handling blood vessels and


controlling bleeding during many surgical procedures. Overall
instrument length is 8 ¼” and features curved pattern. These
features make them perfect for multiple surgical procedures.
KELLY FORCEP: STRAIGHT AND CURVED

4. The tip of Kelly forceps can be straight or curved, with each


design serving specific purposes. Straight tips are generally used
for clamping larger vessels and tissues that are easily accessible,
while curved tips are preferred for reaching deeper or more
angled vessels and tissues.
NEEDLE HOLDER

instrument is a single-ended retractor that comes with a right-angle
blade.
BANDAGE SCISSORS

8. Bandage scissors are very popular in any health care facility


because they are designed to safely lift bandages away from skin for
easy cutting. The bottom blade of the scissor is longer and goes easily
under the bandages.
MAYO SCISSORS

9. The purpose of mayo scissors is to incise the skin and tissues


during surgical procedures. Mayo scissors aid in tissue dissection on
the surface or in the depths. Suture removal is also possible with
dissecting scissors. Mayo scissors are famous for deep cuts that cause
minimum tissue damage
METSEBAUM

10. Metzenbaum scissors are surgical scissors designed for cutting


delicate tissue and blunt dissection. The scissors come in variable
lengths and have a relatively long shank-to-blade ratio. They are
constructed of stainless steel and may have tungsten carbide cutting
surface inserts.
OVUM FORCEPS

11. Ovum Forceps, available at Surgical Holdings, used to grasp, hold,


manipulate and remove tissue from inside the uterus including the
ovum and placenta. Ovum forceps are used during procedures such as
caesarean section, hysterectomy, and uterine repair and are also
sometimes used as a hemostat.
THUMB FORCEP

12. Thumb forceps are spring forceps used by compression between


your thumb and forefinger and are used for grasping, holding or
manipulating body tissue. They are non-ratchet style. For example,
you could use thumb forceps to hold or move tissue during surgery or
to move dressings.
TOWEL CLIP

large blood vessels or tissue bundles during surgery. The
Rochester-Oschner Forceps are generally smaller and used for
more precision controlled hemostasis
BLADDER RETRACTOR

17. The Bladder Retractors are urological surgical instruments used


for exposing surgical sites by retracting bladder tissue, skin, and
muscles. They can also be used for cystectomy and prostate
enucleation to tumor removal. This tool is lightweight and rustproof.
It can be reused after proper cleaning and sterilization
TISSUE FORCEP: TOOTH

18. Tissue forceps are used to hold and manipulate delicate tissues
during surgical procedures or laboratory work. They have a fine tip,
often with small teeth or serrations, which provide a secure grip on
the tissue without causing damage.
KIDNEY BASIN

walls used in medical and surgical wards to receive soiled
dressings and other medical waste. Generally, the volume of a pulp
