Subject: Application for police assistance to open and take possession of shop premises situated at

Respected Sir,
That the applicant is the absolute owner and landlord of the shop measuring {shop_area} situated at
{shop_address}, hereinafter referred to as the “said shop”.
That the applicant had let out the said shop to his friend, namely {tenant_name}, on a monthly rent basis. All the
documentation pertaining to the said shop, including the electricity connection, is in the name of the applicant.
That the said tenant, {tenant_name}, has unfortunately expired on {date_of_death}. The deceased tenant had no
spouse, children, or any other legal heir as per the information available with the applicant.
That after the demise of the tenant, the said shop has remained locked and unutilized. There is no one claiming
any right, title, or interest in the said shop after the death of the tenant.
That the applicant, being the lawful owner and landlord, now wishes to open the said shop for his personal use
and occupation.
That the applicant apprehends that there may be some law and order issue or obstruction from unknown persons
or miscreants at the time of opening the said shop, and therefore seeks police assistance for the same.
That the applicant undertakes to abide by all legal formalities and assures that the possession of the shop will be
taken peacefully and without any unlawful means.
That the applicant has all the original documents of ownership, rent agreement, and electricity connection in his
name, which can be produced for verification as and when required.
That the applicant has not authorized any other person to occupy or use the said shop after the demise of the
tenant.
That the applicant is approaching this Hon’ble office under Section 145 of the Code of Criminal Procedure,
1973, which empowers the police to intervene in matters of actual possession and prevent breach of peace.
That the applicant is a law-abiding citizen and seeks the intervention of the police only to ensure that no
untoward incident takes place at the time of opening and taking possession of the said shop.
That the applicant has not filed any similar application before any other authority for the same relief.
PRAYER
In view of the above, it is most respectfully prayed that this Hon’ble office may kindly:
a) Direct the concerned police officials to provide necessary police assistance to the applicant for opening and
taking peaceful possession of the shop situated at {shop_address};
b) Pass any other order(s) as this Hon’ble office may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice.
