Pollution – is the presence of harmful substances in the air,
land, and water which can have an adverse effect on living
being and on the environment.

Drugs – are chemical or substances that change the way our
bodies work.
Corruption – is the misuse of public power, position or
funds.
Terrorism – is a planned criminal act committed with the

Violence – is the intentional use of physical force or power,
threatened or actual, against another person that either
results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death,
or psychological harm.
Hunger – is an uncomfortable or painful physical sensation

Ask: Have you seen these people in Dumaguete City?
Or in your community?
What can you say about them?
What are they doing in the city?
These are the families from Manjuyod who are trying to sell
sweet potato in the city to provide their families’ need
specially food. If one family consisting of 5 members were able
to sell 7 kilos per day for Php60/kilo.
How much will they earn each day?
Do you think that is enough for their family’s basic
specially food, water and clothing?
If you we are in their shoe, what are you going to do?
