Revise your research question that addresses at least one of your chosen advertisements.
Why do people want more from the technology advancement to be incorporated into the
product as time goes on? EV, auto parking, autopilot mode, or environmentally friendly
are desired features now? Is it just people who want the reward for the technology they
invested in over the last two decades? Do people think we entitle to rewards for the labor
we put in to invent that technology?
Explain how social science perspectives could be used to process information.
From a psychological perspective, people will want the better thing for themselves as
time goes on. Some people also seek other people's attention. New cars with fancy
features or electric cars can make other people curious. The reaction from the group in
the "Smaht Pahk" ad is proof of that statement. The same principle applies to sponsored
posts on social media, study results reported in the news claims made by politicians, or
the representation of groups and cultures in television shows. Most media product
nowadays wants to trigger people's curiosity. From outrage headlines and shocking
statements can draw a lot of people's attention even though the information could be
misleading. From an economic perspective, people pay a decent amount for a new car. As
expected, they want the best from the product with the lowest amount of investment. The
reason why car manufacturers come up with new features is to compete with other
manufacturers. The same principle applies to media products media companies also must
compete with each other to draw more attention to themself.
Describe how the answer to your research question might impact others.
My target audience would be the car manufacturers who come up with these ads and also
the target audience of these ads. From a psychological perspective, the question is
whether these ads capture their target audience's attention. If you wander off too much
and don't hit any point though out the ads, then the audience will be confused. People
who view these ads will be impacted the most by my research. People want the most
information possible about the product before they buy it. If I change the way the ads are
present base on my idea, the thing will be much different from the audience's perspective.
Psychology and economics will be interested in my result because they want to study
how human behavior decision when came to a big purchase. It would be interesting data
points or models to build on based on what my research could become.
