Job Purpose Process Engineer (B. E in Chemical Engineering OR B. Tech in Chemical Engineering)

Key Job Success factors (Key 1. Prepare process engineering documents as per process engg guidelines & procedures viz : Mass and
Responsibilities) energy balance , PFD's, P&ID's, equipment sizing, plot plan, layout & elevation, bought outs enquies ,
technical offer evaluations , utility calculations etc as per project schedule to ensure on time performance (
OTP)
2. Check / review contract for specific requirements related to design standard, statutory norms , battery
limits, list of deliverables, relevant codes etc.
3. Inputs to other engg disciplines
4. Accuracy of engg deliverables with < 1% rework
5. Optimum designs to save in the cost
6. Preparation of Basic Engineering documents viz : Mass and Energy Balance, PFD's, P&ID's, Equipment
sizing, Utility summary, Electrical Load List, Pump Hydraulics etc.
7. Preparation of data sheets for Static Equipments, Instruments and Bought-outs. Evaluation of Bought-outs
like Pumps, PHE's, Agitators, Cooling Towers etc.

Other Responsibilities 1. Co-ordination with internal engg disciplines & vendors.


2. Supporting site for pre checks, pre commissioning & commissioning activities.

Technical Competencies 1. Knowledge of engineering software's viz: Chemcad, HTRI, ASPEN (Will be preferred)
2. Acquaintance with various International codes & standards such as API, ASME, NFPA, IP codes,etc,. (Will
be preferred)
3. Well versed in MS Office
4. Knowledge of Equipment Layout and Elevation, Plot Plan.
5. Knowledge of Process Design of Equipment's.
6. Thermal design of Heat ex changers and knowledge of Simulation tools like Chemcad, HTRI etc

Knowledge and Skills 1. Good communication skills.


2. Team Player.
3. Cost Conscious.
4. Good communication skills for interacting with clients and vendors.
5. Awareness of standards like ASME, TEMA, API etc..
