Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4

I. OBJECTIVES Objectives: must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives necessary procedures must be followed if needed, additional lessons, exercises, and
remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using formative strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of the content and
competencies and enable to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.

III. LEARNING RESOURCES List the materials to be used in different days. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s interest in the lesson and learning. Ensure that there is a mix of concrete and manipulative materials as
well as paper-based materials. Hands-on learning promotes concept development.

IV. PROCEDURES These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which you can
infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning processes, and
draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.
A. Reviewing previous lesson STOCKS Ask the following questions: Ask students to bring some newspaper Ask the students the question 'Can you
or presenting the new lesson clippings that show information about stocks beat the market?'.
Ask the students who among them want to be 1. What are terms associated with the basic and bonds. Ask students the words they see

stocks of a certain company, they become one
of the many owners. Being one of the owners,
they are entitled to the earnings of the
company. They may get their earnings through
dividends or they may opt to sell their stocks at
a higher price the moment the market value
has increased.

BONDS

Now ask students if they ever thought they

could fund big companies or even the
government. Tell the students that big
companies or the government often need large
amounts of money for their projects. To raise
money, they can issue bonds. Investors who
purchase bonds are essentially “lenders” to the
issuer. However, the investors should be
compensated for the lending their money.
Aside from being paid the loan at the end of a
fixed amount of time, the investor also receives
regular payments (called coupons), usually
every six months.
B. Establishing a purpose for Define terms related to stocks Ask the students on the difference between the bond Discuss the stock market, terms in stock Discuss what some investors do:

Define terms related to bonds is undervalued (suggesting that the price
will go down in the future), they buy the
stocks at a lower price now and sell it at a
higher price in the future.
By contrast, if a certain stock is
overvalued, investors would want to sell
the stocks at a higher price now rather
than later.
However, this situation runs under the
assumption that a stock can be overvalued
or undervalued. The Theory of Efficient
Markets counters this assumption
