3. Project Summary:
This project entails creating a motor control system with LabVIEW and myRIO that regulates the speed of a
DC motor based on an input signal. Split-range control is used to modify the motor speed based on the range of
the input signal. The system uses LabVIEW's graphical programming environment to collect sensor data,
perform split-range logic, and control the motor speed with PWM signals. Through testing and optimisation, the
system ensures exact speed regulation, adaptability, and performance.

4. Proposed solution with methodology:

 Requirements Gathering: Understand system requirements and performance criteria.
 Hardware Setup: Connect DC motor and sensors to myRIO.
 LabVIEW Development: Configure myRIO device, create VI for motor control.
 Sensor Input Acquisition: Capture input signal data.
 Split-Range Control Logic: Segment input signal range, define corresponding motor speed levels.
 Control Algorithm: Choose and implement control algorithm (e.g., PID) for speed adjustment.
 Motor Speed Control: Generate PWM signals to control motor speed based on split-range logic and
control algorithm.
 User Interface (Optional): Develop UI for monitoring and adjusting control parameters.
 Testing and Optimization: Test under various conditions, optimize algorithm and logic.
Documentation and Deployment: Document design, implementation, test results, and deploy system.
