BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
It is a class of 20 students, 11 boys and 9 girls between 8 and 9 years old.They
prefer to work individually but if they have to work in groups they do not have any
problems. They also like to work with flashcards, musical videos,and music. As we
talk about little children they can get easily bored so the teacher must pay attention
to the activities TO MOTIVATE THEM. So taking in consideration these
characteristics the teacher will put in practice the PPP aproach because through
repetition techniqueS SHE FosterS understanding of the vocabulary so the
students will repeat after the HER in the interaction during the class. The teacher
will also use a song to teach vocabulary so the ACTIVITIES will be an important
factor TO CATER students’motivation. During the class the teacher will provide
opportunities for students to practice the vocabulary and use the language in a
controlled way. Students will be able to use the language as natural as possible in
the oral presentations.

OBJECTIVES
● Students will be able to identify colours through the activity and a game.
● Students will be able repeat colours through drillings.
● Students will be able to practice colours in English and retell their names
through oral exercises.
BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE: School objects/ Numbers/Have got (1st
person affirmative form)
MATERIALS:
● Flaschcards
● Worksheets
● Glue
● Scissors
● Colour pencils
● Blackboard
● Pendrive or mobile phone with archives.
WARM UP:
Estimated time: 10’
The teacher will greet the students. First, they will review the last topic “school
objects”. She will show the students a “school bag”
-‘Here, I have a school bag, you see?’ she will say, so the students are going to
guess what the school bag has inside. The teacher will open the bag and start to
take out the first object. The first object will be a “book”. She will ask “What this?”
and the students will answer “book”. Then she will proceed to take out the second
object “a pencil case, she will ask them What she has in her hands SHE ALSO
WILL ASK what the pencilcase has inside. The students will guess and SAY
possible answers, “a rubber, a ruler, pencil”. The teacher will open the pencilcase
and show them if the answer was correct or not.
PRESENTATION:
Estimated time: 15 minutes
To introduce the new topic the teacher will put a song about the colours. First they
will hear the song, as the song sounds and say “I see an Apple and is RED” the
teacher will show them the flashcard of the colour “RED”, and immediately stick it
on the blackboard. It will be the same when the Singer says “I see a carrot and is
ORANGE” and so on. The teacher will write on the blackboard the Word
COLOURS.
She will point the first flashcard, and will say aloud “BLUE”, “GREEN”, “PINK”,
“PURPLE”, “YELLOW”, “ORANGE”, “RED”.

PRACTICE:
Estimated time: 10 minutes
Activity n°1
The teacher will encourage students to repeat the vocabulary WHICH
VOCABULARY? after her and this will be done several times in a quiet voice,
shouting, with an angry, happy, and A sad face. If the students will probably make
a mistake during the interaction the teacher will pronounce again and points to the
flaschcard previously stick on the blackboard. So the students can relate what the
teacher say to the picture.
2nd activity
Estimated time: 15 minutes.
The teacher will give each student a copy, they have to fill in the gaps with the
correct missing picture or word.

PRODUCTION:
Estimated time: 15 minutes.
The teacher will show her school bag and start to mention what she has, using the
structure “I have…”. She will ask for volunteers to come to the front with their
school bag and pencil case. Each student has to name what he/she has and what
colour the school object is.
