DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY

OBJECTIVE

The present descriptive report aims to provide a

description of sanitation facilities, such as the provision,
storage volumes (cistern and elevated tank), the demand
maximum simultaneous of the project and pumping team.

LOCATION

The multifamily housing is located on A. Bertello Avenue,

San Remo urbanization, Block 'G', Lot 16, San Martin district
from Porres, province and region of Lima.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The project consists of providing drinking water (cold and hot) and
domestic drainage (sewage) to the Multifamily Housing building that
It is composed of 4 floors and a rooftop with a total of 7 apartments.
It will be developed on a land area of 175.00m2.

WATER SUPPLY

The water supply is through a residential connection of

drinking water from the public network, which goes to a water tank of
consumption of 16 m3, in turn there is a diversion to the water tank.
fire protection of 44 m3.

DISTRIBUTION OF ENVIRONMENTS

The description is presented as follows:

1 of 24
Sanitary Engineer Julio César Cárdenas Robles C.I.P No. 81191

The multi-family residential building will have 4 floors intended for

flats type housing apartments.

The area for the cistern will be at a lower level. At this level, there
find the cistern, which will have a capacity of 16 m3 for the
average daily consumption and 44 m3 for the water reserve against
fire.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRINKING WATER SYSTEM

A.- COLD WATER

The water supply has been considered through direct intake of

the public network of 1 residential connection of 1½" diameter for the
drinking water of the building (see location on the plan), which
will feed the cistern that will be located at level +/- 0.00, then this
it is pumped to the elevated tank, to then supply the devices
sanitary by gravity, with a centrifugal pumping unit (2
units).

CALCULATION OF DAILY ALLOCATION

The design provisions, for the calculation of the tank volume,

are those indicated in the National Building Regulations as
son

1 Bedroom Apartment 500 l/d 500 l / d

8 two-bedroom apartment 850 l/d x 8 = 6,800 l / d
7 three-bedroom apartments 1200 l/d x 7 = 8,400 l / d
Parking 300m2x 2 l/d-m2 = 600 l / d
Total = 16,300 l / d
Daily allocation: 16,300 liters

Calculation of the useful volume of the common cistern:

According to the National Building Regulations

Tank volume (usable) 1 / 3 * daily allocation

Volume. Elevated tank 5.43 m3
We take 6 m3
USEFUL VOLUME OF THE ELEVATED TANK = 16m3

Calculation of Maximum Simultaneous Demand:

According to the Hunter method:

For the calculation, we have considered the following sanitary appliances:

demand, in such a way that at peak time, two of them work
simultaneously. The characteristics of the equipment are as follows:

B.- HOT WATER

The project includes a hot water network for each

department. For this, each department will have its respective
electric water heater with a capacity of 80 liters.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM

C.- DOMESTIC DRAINAGE

The drains go down from all floors in 4" and 2" risers and
they will discharge the 6" collectors located on the first floor. For

to be pumped and connected to the collector that is on the ground of the
first floor.

All drainage branches are complemented by a system of

ventilation that allows maintaining atmospheric pressure and eliminating the
gases within the system.

CALCULATION OF THE VOLUME OF THE SUMP WELL

- Calculation of the water inflow rate to the

cistern (Qi)

6 0000 l 4.17 l/s

4 x 3 600 s

- In the event of a failure of the float valve that

controls the maximum level of the tank, the flow of
water that would come out of the overflow pipe will be equal to the

flow that enters the cistern (Qi), that is to say:

Qrebose = 4.17 l/s

- One of the most accepted criteria is the one that has in

consideration of the times and flows of income and
pumping according to the following relationship:

You (Qb - Qp) Qp/Qb

You = Usable volume of the chamber of

pumping (l)
Tt = Total time in seconds = Time
filling in seconds + the time of
emptied in seconds.
Based on experience, a total time of between 15 to 30 can be considered.

minutes.
Qp= Incoming flow (what arrives at the
Pump Camera) in l/s:
4.17 l/s

6 out of 24
Sanitary Engineer Julio César Cárdenas Robles C.I.P No. 81191

Pumping flow rate in l/s

From experience, it can be considered a
pumping flow between 1.25 to 1.5 of
flow of the maximum simultaneous demand
of contribution: for our case.
Qb = 1.5 Qp

To summarize:

You = Tt (Qb - Qp) Qp/Qb

Tt = 15 min x 60 = 900 s

Qp= 4.17 l/s

Qb = 1.5 x 4.17 l/s = 6.25 l/s

Replacing values

Vc = 900 * (6.25 l/s - 4.17 l/s) * 4.17 / 6.25 = 1,249 liters

Finally, the total volume of the sinkhole

it will be: 1.25 m3

D.- STORM DRAIN

As a precaution, 2-inch drains have been left in the ceiling and the
rooftop for rainwater drainage.
