DIGITAL FILM MAKING
Filmmaking is the process of making a film, that involves several stages including
Development (ideation), Pre-production (planning, casting, location, shoot arrangement
etc..), Production (Live shooting etc..), Post-Production (editing, sound recording etc..). It’s an
immensely creative art form that has revolutionized storytelling and visual expression.
Enabled by technological advancements, filmmakers now have unparalleled opportunities
to bring their unique visions to life, experiment with innovative storytelling techniques.
With great enthusiasm, energy, and new insights, 24FPS International Animation Awards
announces ‘Digital Film Making Category’ which will provide an amazing platform to an
individual/ group to become an amazing storyteller & communicate a strong message in a
visual format. So, let’s get rolling and bring out the best in the reel world.
FILM GENRES
The films can be made in the following genres
THRILLER
Thrillers are characterized and defined by the moods they bring forth; giving viewers
heightened feelings of suspense, excitement, surprise, anticipation and anxiety. A thriller is
usually a villain-driven plot, whereby he or she presents obstacles that the protagonist
must overcome. Thrillers generally keep the audience on the “edge of their seats” as the
plot builds towards a climax.
CRIME
Crime films are often based on real events or are adaptations of plays or novels, or a
remake or adoption of a previous film. Some plots are original and entirely fictional. Films of
this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and its detection. Stylistically, the
genre may overlap and combine with many other genres, such as drama or gangster film,
but also include comedy, and, in turn, is divided into many sub-genres, such as mystery,
suspense or noir
DRAMA
Dramas are serious plot-driven presentations, portraying realistic characters, settings, life
situations, and stories involving intense character development and interaction. Usually,
they are not focused on special-effects, comedy, or action. Dramatic films are made on
in-depth creation of realistic characters who must deal with realistic emotional struggles.
DOCUMENTARIES
A documentary film is a nonfictional motion picture intended to document some aspect of
reality, primarily for the purposes of instruction, education, or maintaining a historical
record. This includes video and digital productions that can be either direct-to-video,
made into a TV show, or released for screening in cinemas. A biography documentary is a
detailed description of a person's life. A biography presents a subject's life story,
highlighting various aspects of his or her life and may include an analysis of the subject's
personality. Biographical works are usually non-fiction, but fiction can also be used to
portray a person's life.
AN ENRICHING LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Like previous year, expert master classes in DFM category will be organized to help you
learn from the masters and enhance your film making experience. Major topics will be
