IMPORTANT QUESTIONS UNIT-WISE (ECE - III YEAR II SEMESTER)

UNIT 1: Discrete Time Signals, Systems, and Multirate DSP

Topics:

- Classification of discrete time signals

- LTI system properties: causality, stability

- Difference equations and impulse response

- Z-transform and its properties

- Sampling rate conversion: down-sampling, up-sampling, interpolation

Important Questions:

1. Check causality and stability of systems like y(n) = x(-n-3), y(n) = nx(n)

2. Find the impulse response for: y(n) + y(n-1) - 2y(n-2) = x(n-1) + 2x(n-2)

3. Explain interpolation and show it is a time-variant system.

4. Derive output using Z-transform for a given difference equation.
