Forces Definitions (read through)

1. Frictional Force: When two surfaces rub against each other, it

creates a force that opposes motion. Example: Trying to slide a book
across the floor.

2. Propulsion force: This force causes an object to move or accelerate

in a specific direction. It's a pushing or pulling force that generates
thrust, which is the forward motion of an object. Propulsion forces are
often used to describe the forces that power vehicles, aircraft, boats,
and even spacecraft!

Examples of propulsion forces include:

a). _Thrust_: The forward force that propels a vehicle, like a car or
airplane, through the air.
b). _Lift_: The upward force that opposes weight and helps an object, like
an airplane or a bird, rise into the air.
c). _Rocket force_: The force that propels a rocket upward, generated by
expelling hot gases out of the back.
d). _Buoyancy force_: The upward force that helps an object, like a boat
or a submarine, float or rise in water.
e). _Muscle force_: The force generated by muscles, like when you swim
or cycle.

Propulsion forces are all around us, helping us move, fly, sail, and
explore our world!

3. Gravitational Force: A force that pulls objects towards each other

due to their mass. Example: A ball falling towards the ground.

4. Magnetic Force: A force that acts between magnets and magnetic

materials. Example: Attracting paper clips with a magnet.

5. Electrical Force: A force that acts between charged particles.

Example: Static electricity making your hair stand up.

6. Applied Force: A force that is applied to an object by another object

or person. Example: Pushing a door open.

7. Air Resistance Force: A force that opposes motion through the air.
Example: A parachute slowing down a skydiver.

8. Normal Force: A force that acts perpendicular to a surface. Example:

A book on a table.

9. Tension Force: A force that stretches or pulls something tight.

Example: A stretched rubber band.
These forces are all around us and affect our daily lives in many ways!
Balance and unbalanced forces

Balanced Forces:

- When two or more forces acting on an object are equal and opposite,
they cancel each other out.
- The object does not move or change its motion.
- It's like a tug-of-war where both teams pull with the same strength, and
the rope doesn't move!

Examples:

- A book lying on a table (gravity pulling down, table pushing up)

- A person standing still (feet pushing ground, ground pushing back)
- A ball floating in water (buoyancy force up, weight force down)

Unbalanced Forces:

- When two or more forces acting on an object are not equal, they make
the object move or change its motion.
- One force is stronger than the other, so the object is pushed or pulled
in that direction.
- It's like a tug-of-war where one team pulls harder, and the rope moves!

Examples:

- A rolling ball (force of push > force of friction)

- A falling leaf (force of gravity > force of air resistance)
- A speeding car (force of engine > force of friction)

Remember, forces are like pushes or pulls that can make things move or
stay still. Balanced forces keep things steady, while unbalanced forces
make things change their motion!
