Title of Seminar: Smart Surveillance Systems: Enhancing Women’s

Security.

Abstract: A smart wristband designed for women's safety is an innovative

wearable technology aimed at providing real-time protection and emergency
support in potentially dangerous situations. Earlier studies on smart wristbands
for women’s safety mainly focused on using technologies like GSM and GPS to
send emergency messages with the woman’s location to family or police. Later,
pressure sensors were added to detect if someone tries to pull or forcefully
remove the band, which would then send an alert. Some designs also included
microphones to record sound during an attack, and heart rate sensors to track
signs of stress or fear. Over time, similar projects were developed such as Smart
jacket, Shock slippers and GPS and GSM based vehicle tracking etc. Newer
versions connect to phones or the internet using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, so family
members can monitor the user’s safety in real time.
A few designs include LED flashlights, buzzers, or shocking mechanisms to
scare off attackers. In short, the research has moved from just sending alerts to
creating smart, automatic, and reliable safety devices that help prevent and
respond to dangerous situations.
