Open – source software is a types of computer software in which source code is released under a license in
which the copyright holder grants users the rights to use, study, change and distribute the software to anyone and
for any purpose.

Linux, LibreOffice , GNU Image Manipulation Program, Drupal,


Some Cloud Computing applications like Own Cloud, Next Cloud are Open source. Google Apps not open
source.
OpenStack is an example of an open source cloud computing platform.

MySQL: MySQL is open source database management system, one of the most popular DBMS on the web. It is
reliable, fast and also flexible
