I. Objectives : At the end of the period, the students are expected to


- describe the nature of forces (push and pull)
- classify the activities on daily life based on the force given (push & pull)
- identify the effects of forces to the objects
- identify various kinds of forces and their characteristics – gravity, elastic,
magnetic and friction

Meeting 3: (7-1-2011) Indonesia
a. Introduce ‘gaya – dorong & tarik’ by showing some pictures
b. Put the pictures under the correct heading then discuss them
c. Present the effect of forces on the objects
d. Review the effect of forces by having question and answer randomly
addressed to the students

Meeting 1: (10-1-2011)
a. Introduce forces: push & pull by showing some pictures and then put them
under the proper heading
b. Ask the students to identify the difference between push & pull
c. Show some pictures of activities then invite the students to arrange the
pictures from activities that using least to greatest forces
d. Present the conclusion of push & pull and ‘bigger force is applied to the
bigger activity and vice verse.
e. Ask the students to do the worksheet (Activity 7.1)
Meeting 2: (11-1-2011)
a. Recall the students comprehension of force: push & pull
b. Conduct the experiment on effect of forces (see Activity 7.2)
c. Present the conclusion of effects of force
d. Ask the students to do the worksheet (Activity 7.3) as the application of the
given experiment
Meeting 3: (14-1-2011) Indonesia
a. Display some pictures for identifying kinds of forces
b. Ask the students to label it with the proper heading
c. Define the kinds of forces – gravity, elastic, magnetic and friction
d. Ask the students to do the worksheet (Activity 7.6)

Week 27
Meeting 1: (17-1-2011)
a. Conduct the experiment on kinds of forces (see Activity 7.4)
b. Present the conclusion on kinds of force (see Infomap 7)
c. Have oral discussion on reviewing kinds of forces
Meeting 2: (18-1-2011)
a. Recall the students’ schemata on kinds of forces (which was taught on
Friday, 14 Jan 2011) in English
b. Explain kinds of forces in details by having some pictures
c. Have discussion on checking the students’ comprehension
d. Ask the students to do the additional worksheet done in group of four
Meeting 3: (21-1-2011) Indonesia
a. Enforce the students’ comprehension of forces, effects of forces and kinds of
forces by having class discussion
b. Ask the students to do the worksheet (IPA itu Asyik)
