Start a New Case.
Add a component list, then add the following components in the list:
n-Hexane, n-Heptane, n-Octane, Nitrogen
Add the Fluid Package: Peng Robinson
Navigate to simulation Environment.
Now, start the development of flow sheet in Steady state mode.
Define the feed stream:
Stream Name Feed
Temperature [C] 37.78
Pressure [Kpa] 900
Mass Flow [Kg/h] 4248
Composition
n-Hexane 0.300
n-Heptane 0.300
n-Octane 0.300
Nitrogen 0.100
Add the Control Valve and define the inlet and outlet connections. Go to
WorksheetStream To Tank input (Pressure = 686.7 Kpa).

Add the 2-Phase separator and then define the inlet and outlet connections.
Go to parameters tab, define the Duty = 0

Add the Control Valve at the separator liquid outlet and define the inlet and outlet
connections. Go to WorksheetStream Drain (Pressure = 103.4 Kpa).
Add the Tee, at the separator vapor outlet and define the inlet and outlet
connections.

Add the Relief Valve at To PSV stream and define the inlet and outlet
connections.
Go to Parameters option and define the Set Pressure 700 Kpa and Full Open
Pressure 720 Kpa.

Go to rating tab, and input Orifice Area 50 mm2
Add the Control Valve at the stream To PCV and define the inlet and outlet
connections. Go to WorksheetStream Vent (Pressure = 103.4 Kpa).

Go to VLV-100, from Rating tab input the valve opening % and click Size Valve
button to calculate the Cv.
Go to VLV-102, from Rating tab input the valve opening % and click Size Valve
button to calculate the Cv.

Go to stream Flare and define pressure 103.4 Kpa.
Go to VLV-101, from Rating tab input the valve opening % and click Size Valve
button to calculate the Cv.
Go to Separator V-100, from Rating tab input the Volume 5.663 m3.

Now, Install the PID controller to control the flow.

Click Dynamic Assistant button to check the issue before switching to dynamic
