PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT

Time: 3 HOURS

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATE:
1. Figure 1 shows the layout of the consumer’s intake point equipment and three final circuits.
You are required to perform the following tasks:
i. TASK 1: List down the materials and quantities required to perform the
installation
ii. TASK 2: Draw a well-labelled wiring diagram such that:
• Lamp L1 and L2 are connected in parallel and controlled from switches S1,
S3;
• Fluorescent L3 is controlled from S2;
• Socket outlets are wired in radial.
• Water heater switch is wired from the consumer.
iii. TASK 3: Using PVC Mini-trunking wiring system, install and wire
the circuit for correct operation.

iv. TASK 4:
• Carry out polarity test
• Carry out insulation resistance test.
